Dear Valkyrie owners,

I have a yellow/green wire and a green/orange wire which remain unconnected coming out from the ICM. Can anyone tell me what these two wires are connected to?

Please attached service manual, it doesn't help 😅

They're 3rd and 4th from right on top ports in photo

They Y/G wire goes to the tachometer. I suspect the other wire is LG/R, as there is no G/O wire at the ECM in the schematic. If it is actually LG/R, it goes to the neutral switch and the diode pair that enables the starter solenoid and neutral light.

Looks like the Y/G wire has a labeled tag, but I can't read all it says. Also, the diagrams show four empty sockets, while yours has only one; it also has colors not in the diagram, like that Bl/R wire next to the Y/R.

Exactly which model do you have? My diagrams are for the U.S. models; if yours is not U.S. what I said above may not apply.

Thanks WintrSol! :)  I suspected the y/g was the tacho. The bike was imported from Japan to UAE and I bought it there to modify and restore and brought it back to UK when I returned permanently. The label is mine, it was twisted with a wire under the tank from a previous bad restore job.

As I have no spark, I suspect the dark green/brown or red or orange (difficult to tell) cable could be a safety circuit switch but I'm not sure what it would connect to if this is the case. If you or anyone has any images that might assist that would be a great help.

Thankyou

Anyone out there have a wiring diagram for this bike? If someone could link to it, I volunteer to interpret.

I have the schematics for srandard and. Tourer and the Interstate. There is acolorized set for each alao. I do not know what differences there are for non US bikes. The link is www.valkyriecarbsandcustom.com. scroll down to downloads.

His ECM connector shows 3 more wires; C/CT and Interstate are the same at the ECM.

According to my schematics
Y/G connects to the tach

G/O connects to a diode circuit that then goes to neutral switch and clutch switch.

Not sure if the schematics fits exactly for your Valk, as I have several different for each country, but Japan.
But all that show 15 pin connected ICM have the same circuit regarding colors in question.

Best of luck
