Despite the 93 degrees (and rising) when I left home. I had a nice little ride hitting the one or two curves we have in our little town.

Weather lately had kept me from my normal riding so I figured a 4th of July freedom ride to celebrate I still have the right to do so was in order. My bike isint used to sitting a whole week without getting out

On this ride, due to the heat I went without my normal gear. Just a tshirt. No vest so no tunes. Surprisingly  I enjoyed the sounds of the motorcycle for a change, especially the groan of the airbox during spirited acceleration as it tries to gulp more air

24 years and almost 200,000 miles and I'm still impressed with the pull when you give that throttle a real twist.

Happy Birthday America! I hope many of you all get out and exercise your right to ride lol.

Jess from VA

At least someone got out.

It's been over a 100 degrees (and full sun) for days now, and too hot for me to go riding (I won't ride in the dark).

The flag on my front roof peak mount got twisted up and I just climbed up there to untwist it, and I'm not going outside again.  It's a freekin' furnace out there.

Happy Independence Day to everyone.

Serk

I've got the iPhone of doom until Monday... (Employer issued phone we have to carry while oncall.)

I've got to be able to get to my computer and working any outage within 10 minutes.

Sucks, but part of the paycheck. Otherwise I'd probably get a hot ride in just for the point of it.

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

:cooldude: It has been pretty warm so glad to see you got out for a ride on the 4th even if it was solo! Curious if the new exchange for I-10 for you is completed?  :???:

good on you ChrisJ   There is so much we in this great country can celebrate.  Where else can you set your mind to something and achieve it as the USA?

Friday morning Bonnie and I went up to Ticonderoga to spend time with my brother and his girlfriend.  It has been real hot even up there so they put a few small window a/c units in this year and are glad they did. Till this year all they needed in the log cabin was fans

We played poker for hours (he won) and in the afternoons took out his pontoon boat and lots of time swimming off the boat in Lake George. That is one of the cleanest lakes in the country as it is spring fed in multiple locations

Ticonderoga put on a 1st class fireworks show last night.

The heat broke overnite was 60 this morning at 6am when we went outside to run the dobermans

Got home this morning by 1030 and the salt generator has given up the ghost in my pool.    :tickedoff:  Ordered one online just now from Wallmart and will just have to shock the pool till it gets here and I put it inline where the old one was located.

Need a Valk ride if it ever cools down
