Relaying the news from Facebook, looks like @DarkSideR had a tango with a deer and totaled his gorgeous Valk...

He's pretty banged up but will make it, but his Valk appears to be totaled...

(This was, as I recall, the Best of Show winner at this year's Inzane)

How it looked in Eureka Springs:

And now....

Holy smokes! That's nasty.

Being banged up is no fun and I hope he mends up real fast with no lasting injuries. I can't imagine the disappointment about his bike.

I hate it. We have them varmits around here too. I've seen them on the side of the road but they always so far minded their business.

I hope he heals well. I can't image how it would feel to total a pristine Valkyrie

Josh,

I hate it for you, my friend! Glad you're no worse off than you are. We're all pulling for you and anxiously awaiting news of your full and quick recovery... We'll keep the positive vibes heading your way.

As far as your special and most beautiful bike is concerned, 'Totaled' is the verdict we've heard, but I'm confident that's not final at all! Let us know of your progress, and especially of how recovery of your 'Dad's Dream' is working out. Also, please let us know how we can help you in the restoration process. Appears to this rider another legend is being created here!!!

I plan to take out a few here real soon.

DDT,

Thank you.

After being banged up, with a concussion I am now okay.

I have settled with the insurance (State Farm), and happy with the payout. I have bought the bike back and am currently assessing what it will take, or if it can be put back together. There are thus far significant challenges.

I'll keep ya'll informed.

Glad to hear you're okay. I've had a couple of close calls this year, but with stupid drivers not wild life. Best of luck putting the bike back together.
