Multivex Mirror

Can anyone tell me if the Multivex mirror will fit he Valk. It shows a listing for the GL1500  Goldwing. I called and asked the guy if that would fit the Valk and he could not tell me nor could he give me the dimensions.

I have these on my ST1300 and absolutely love them.I had to wait about 4-5 months for them to come in but one of the best investment made for that bike.

I have had these on my wish list for a while for the Valk. I guess in Hindsight (pardon the pun) of my recent accident I should have tried to move them up on the list.

Multivex mirrors are a distortion free flat wide angle mirror. It simple sticks onto your existing mirror via double sided tape.
I don't know how they do it but it is flat not curved.  It give you an image like a normal mirror but a much wider image. No small image.

With the ones on my ST my field of vision is from behind me crossing my saddle bag to see a bit over 1/2 the lane directly behind me. To my left and right I can see a vehicle until just before (1-2 feet) I can see it in my peripheral vision looking straight ahead.

So it almost completely eliminates blind spots to the rear and it does it distortion free.

The instruction teach you to read your mirrors in 1/3rd increments.

If the image is in the 1/3rd closest to the you  then you have a safe distance, If in the middle 1/3rd use caution. If in the outer 1/3rd its too damn close to make a lane change.

Obviously I highly recommend them just am not sure the Goldwing GL1500 uses the same mirror as the Valk GL1500.

I know how to Google... my point is... he wants to know about a specific product he's already researched... share the link of the specific one he's wanting about in his post/inquiry.  Since they offer more than one product for for the GL1500 Goldwing... it's kind of up to him to be a little more specific and to share the link/pic so that everyone's on the same page, instead of everyone "assuming" they know which one is being thought of in his head.  Make sense?

If it were me wanting those on my bike... I'd see if the particular mirror would fit on my bike, buy 'em (since they don't offer an upgrade/add-on for a bike that's no longer produced) and then get the "upgraded" stick-on mirror to put on 'em... mount 'em up, adjust 'em and be happy... and, sell the old mirrors to recoup some of the money.  But, that's just me.

The fact that they're "flat" is very intriquing to me.  Good find there, and thanks for the introduction.

Another idea to kick around is... stay on the look out for a Goldwing with the mirrors you're considering and ask the guy to let you compare yours to his and see if they'll work for you.  I'd almost be willing to bet that the rounded cornered rectangle ones would work.  It's a shame that they don't offer dimensions with their drawings.

Interesting.
I have the curved glass removed and standard flat mirrors installed in the Valk holders.
Then stick on a small curved mirror in the lower corners.
Gives the benefit of long view on the plain and the curved checks for anything close. If in the curved mirror they are too close.
Works well.

Yes at one point it had sizes but I don't remember what they were. I don't know why that is the only one without size..
