Hey I just changed my radiator on my 2000 Valkyrie and I hooked all the fuel lines back up, step by step like my Clymer manuel said to but I can not get it started. the engine turns over bot it won't fire. I was wondering is there something I need to do to prime the system? flush the system? is the gas to old ? I dpn't think its the spark plugs but I haven't tested them yet. any hints out there I would be greatful.

Thanks,
Sailor

How long since the bike has run ? Weak batteries discharge quickly. They will crank the engine fast but not have enough volts for firing the spark plugs. Jump it off of a non running car to try and eliminate one possible problem.

Also make sure you hooked the vacuum line back up to the petcock.

+1 on that, it will not start with that vacuum hose from #6 carb to the pet rooster. make sure its tight too.

I guess my first question would be....if all you did was change out the radiator, why does that have anything to do with the carbs?  You don't need to touch them if the radiator is all you changed, unless your question is only a portion of what was done.
