I rode today... hit a patch of some kind of squirrely stuff not far from the house, spent the rest of the ride in
wondering whether it was gravel or oily... I didn't fall off, must have been gravel...

After driving the Jeep Monday and Tuesday due to rain, I rode the bike in today.  A little chilly, but supposed to warm up into the 50's later.  They are installing a sewer line along one of the roads I take to work, so it is covered in dirt and gravel.  I may need to start taking an alternate route until they are done.

Karen

In the 40's both ways today, but glorious sunshine on the way home. The ride makes going to work worth it!

Congratulations, Karen.  I'd like to be in the forties again.  I'm in the late fifties today.   :)

I have an errand this afternoon, so I won't get to ride to work.  (Don't tell Raymond I posted unrighteously in his thread.)

I read all about it here Willow. But you see I did have to take someone to work today and that suitcase doesn't ride good on any of the bikes so I drove a CAGE myself today. Post away this thread is for anyone who rides regularly, daily, monthly (once a year at least).

It was barely at my "Voluntary, non special case" minimum riding temperature when I left (freezing + 10 degrees), and I think in some of the low areas I ride through it was way below it, but it was still a good ride... Looking at 70 and bring sun for the ride home...

I can already predict, it's gonna be REAL hard to force myself back into the bland cube farm after lunch!

I'm not riding to work anymore, I hate this place so bad that I don't want to enjoy anything about it, even the ride in.  Ya get that way when it's just 28 more days to retirement!   ;D  ;D  ;D Hoser   :crazy2:  :D

I appreciate the offer but I haven't been able to squeeze into a large t-shirt in many years.

I rode today.  They are calling for a 40% chance of scattered showers, but then again they kept saying "if you see any rain..."  It just sounded like they doubted it would rain in most places, so I took that to mean my place.  Plus, it wasn't raining when I walked out the door...which is my general decision maker whether to ride to work or not.  So I took the bike.  Roads were wet, but not raining.  Similar forecast for tomorrow, but then the rest of the week is looking fantastic with highs in the upper 60's and 70's and sunshine.  Could go 4 for 4 this week (I'm off Fridays).  The only bad thing is that I won't have much need for my new Gerbings, which have been back ordered since the first week of Feb, that should be arriving this week.

I slept rode most of the way to work today. It's rather peaceful riding like that..

I balanced leaving a little early in case of bad roads with getting caught up with the laundry on my way to work today. The power went off for a while last night and prevented me from getting the Sunday laundry done. The sunday laundry being the left over from Friday that I didn't do all weekend. My wife had to get creative to find work clothes. So I spent before work trying to shove it all through the washer, or at least enough that we'll have pants for tomorrow.
Now I'm at work.
Dry.
Can't complain.

It poured on the way in, and poured on the way home, had to shovel the water out of the bottom of the driveway & use the shop vac in the basement again. Looks like I'll stay home to keep the water levels down tomorrow. Anybody have the plans for an ark? Tried a new rain jacket today, going back to Frogg Toggs.

Blackduck KS

Very nice again this mourning cool no wind, upper 50`s for the ride home this afternoon. :cooldude:

First morning my glasses didn't fog at all at stops.  Nice ride in.  The grass is heralding Spring and the trees are not far behind.

Cutter,  try not to use the terms butt, seat time, and full moon in the same post.   :o

My wife keeps asking me what day it is. How am I supposed to know? I think it is Tuesday. I think I've told her that all day. Who knows. So, I think it is Tuesday, but I know that I've ridden to work today whatever day it is. Not a bad day because I had a free lunch. yum.
Good Tuesday. Tuesday? Feels longer than that.

It was cold enough this morning that I put the heavy gauntlets on and there was still a little ice on the cars when I left this morning. But today is the first day that the covers came off the Motorcycle Only parking spots here at the gas factory and I wanted to take advantage of once again parking "In The Front Row!". Had to run an errand at lunch and it is still pretty cool but I was on the Valk so it wasn't all that bad. Suppose to get into the 70s by end of week so it looks like I will be riding every day. :cooldude: I guess winter is almost over but this is Chicago and let's just say winter probably ain't through with us yet.

But Today I RODE!!!!!!

stormrider

Gone and done it again. Got to ride the fat girl to take a water sample for a customer. Weather??? 70 and sunny, slight breeze. Rode several times for work and not posted. Get to do so tomorrow as well. Should get in about 230 miles.

I rode in this morning.  It was pretty frosty out...and probably the coldest morning in a while...but it is supposed to warm up this afternoon. :cooldude:

Black Pearl's Captain

I would like everyone to know forever that it was 64 degrees this morning at 6:00 a.m. in Wichita Kansas.

I almost got "sick" during the ride to work but I came in anyway.

Rode in for the first time this year.  Really wanted to get it in earlier, but I'll admit I have a 36 degree rule (I hate frost in the valley)  If I hadn't been on call for the last couple weeks I wouldn't have had to worry about getting trapped at work.

stormrider

50 degrees this AM as I set out on my day's errands. First to Daleville/Ft Rucker to check on installing a drinking fountain at a facility there. Gotta wait for the big okay.
Then to Samson to pick up a deposit on equipment for a new house.
Then to what used to be beautiful Panama City Beach. All it is now is a row of high rise nearly empty concrete wind and sun barriers. I used to love it for it's redneck charm. Now it's a mix of redneck and riveria. I like the redneck part much better.
Anyway, got the parts I needed then hit Dusty's. Made it back to the home place before dark. woooohooooo. 275 miles for the day.

Thank you God for answering my prayer and letting me have a job where I can involve riding my bike and paying the bills.

Light drizzle in the 50's on the way in, dry & crisp in the 40's coming home, expect to get near 70 this weekend sunny for several days. This must be heaven, but a long ways from West Virginia.

Cliff

The monsoons finally stopped and rode in today under cover of clouds.
