Rode to work today stopped to make a house call for an elderly client then down to the Bronx, bike is settin in the parking lot, in the shade and  looking all lonely.  She is safe behind a wrought iron gate protected by a big ole chain and lock

Must be a full moon cause seemed like every driver was on a cell phone or drinking their latte and reading the paper

Cant wait to ride home during the rush hour this evening, but knowing that I will miss my exit (again) and not turn for home till I have ridden thru some of my favorite little used roads in the hills makes it better

Severe T-Storm warnings today ... didn't ride & I REALLY missed that midnight ride home tonight!

Ken V (a friend of a friend) took his Rte 66 dream ride & never made it all the way home; his return trip was cut short the other day... thoughts and prayers out to Ken's wife and kids.

Ever wish you had rode to work just to clear your head?

I can't remember whose tag line it was, but this says it all...

It was a 25th Wedding Anniversary party for one of the guys in the band, but we ended up playing for our supper, so it sounds to me like a ride to work. A picture perfect New England day, with uncrowded streets in and around Boston. Can't ask for much more. Good food, good friends & good music, all sandwiched between two rides. Hope your weekends were equally pleasurable. Looks like I'll have to ride again tomorrow, the mp3 is up to 8.3 gig...

I've been missing my posts, rode yesteday the day before the day before that..well everyday. I find it funny now that it is over 100 at times poeple ask, "Did you ride that bike in all this heat?" Seems like just 6 months ago it was "did you ride in all this cold?"

Go figger.

I rode yesterday, but one of our computers got hacked, so I never got around to posting... I had to
go to Laurens yesterday afternoon (about 60 miles, hour and a half on country roads).

It was hot on the way there, but it was 8pm when I came back... what a nice ride... it was cooled
down, country roads with fields and woods and great smells (well, they spread cow-fertilizer some
places  :crazy2: )... and I'm not usually out at sunset, it was great. Followed a "snarley" in
the last 10 miles, not too loud I guess  ;)

I didn't ride to work but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night ... actually it was King Copper Motel... and , I did IronButt back from Copper Harbor MI with Ironman - 12 hours, five rain storms & wonderful cross winds on the Big Mac Bridge ... still better than a good day at work!

Yea I rode to work today after my very eventful weekend what timing,
just before I`m get ready to go to CO.I went an event up to Galva KS.
it just so happens they had a dyno there, see where I`m going with this,
my buddies said put that thing on there we want to see what that
thing will do, (first mistake listening to my Buddies) I was real hesatent to do it,
sence I haven`t ever had it done before, but was interested also ,about what it would do sence
I can`t seem to get it barely over 100 becuase I`m to SCARED to do it. long story a little shorter
they blew my tire up it had less than 2000 miles on it, I got it fixed last night so
I get to travel 600 miles tomorrow on my first tire change by my self,I hope I got everything back right and tight.

no doubt... the only thing that could be worse would be preceded by you saying "Hey y'all,
watch this!"... glad you got it back together...

I'm back from vacation too, again.... Time to go back to work and the only way to do it right is to ride. Sure felt good to get back on.

I'm in too I guess. I've been riding everyday just forgetting to post all about it. I'm sure many were worried!  :uglystupid2:

Raymond

Karen

Yup I was really worried that nobody but me was riding to work... I didn't want to make anybody jealous, so I didn't say anything, but I'm 4 for 4 so far this week. Life is good!

Black Pearl's Captain

Darn right I rode today, I knew I had to stay even with 5 for 5 Karen. HAHA

Rode (swam) to work today during our never ending monsoons, darn good test of the rain gear.  The gear passed the test!!

It was tough to do this morning.... that is, get out of bed! The ride in was nice and the rain stayed away. Wet ride home last night, haven't done that in like 2 months..... New rain gear did good!

Wonderful Mid-west T-Storms all week ... haven't rode to work since Monday ... guess its time to "belly up to the bar" and dodge lightening bolts ... Here we go! :cooldude:
PS. Weather Channel says 80% chance of T-Storms tonight ... I say it's 100% chance since I just got done detailing the Valk. :tickedoff:

We've had crappy weather here all week too.  I rode to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week.  I actually had to drive the Jeep twice this week...that's the first time in severall weeks I had to get it out of the garage.

Serk

Rode to work today...

Got there just in time to miss seeing my boss, and my boss' boss getting walked out of the building from being laid off, and another of my team mates...

*sigh*

(And yeah, my boss was one of the good ones...)

Work & Home with no rain and no lightening ... life IS good (despite the roof leak from yesterday's storm).

It was raining lightly yesterday morning, but I still rode. Wore my Frogg Toggs & helmet onto the elevator (who can carry the helmet with a purse, lunch, etc.?) and got a couple of laughs when I said I was still celebrating the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. Tomorrow will make it 6 for 6, Raymond...

Been leaving early for the last 2 weeks, just to make the 6 mile morning ride to work a 15 miler!  Nothing like seeing the sun come up from the top of a big sweeping Texas interchange ramp!  Here's to 2-wheelin'!
;-)

It's Monday and I'm here at work...on the bike.  So far-so good. :cooldude:

I rode everyday this week... I wished that today I hadn't ridden to work, that instead I had ridden here:

I know like nothing about what it is like from "E" south to Highlands... I think that
is the "Hellbender"...

Is it a touristy mess between "E" and "F", or not so bad?

I'm on-call next week, but I want to do this loop soon... I might post my map
outside this thread and see if I can rouse up some interest...  :cooldude:

When faced with that dilemma, Karen, I leave my purse on the bike.   :)

I rode to work Wednesday and on the way home the rear wheel began to scream.   :-[ Got her home okay, but yesterday I had to ride the girl bike in.

(Raymond do we need to report every day we ride in.  Wouldn't it be easier to identify when we don't?)

Oh, I didn't ride to work today because I'm working just fifteen feet from my bedroom.   ;D

I do believe the Hellbender is Hwy 28 which is west of Bryson City, goes through Almond and follows Fontana Lake and puts you out on Hwy 129, the Tail of the Dragon. However, the roads you have mapped out are great riding as well.

Your call Willow. I've rode all week but not posted that fact. Now I have, just trying to keep up with Karen i suppose.

I rode my wife's Valk in to work today, it's not had enough miles on it this summer so I did what any good husband would do, I rode "Bert".

It was nice and the bypass curves at 80 felt great.

I'm here...

Raymond

Willow

Raymond, I'm going to need a clarification here.  Does it count if I ride someone else's bike to work?
