Pulled slipping clutch. Thanks to Jeff K and Lady Draco for tutorials.

chrise2469:
I reported clutch slippage last week and after reading Jeff K and lady Dracos post I tore into it. I gathered all the necessary tools and got it pulled last night. I needed to make sure of all the parts before ordering as parts take about a week here.
The 32mm socket was found at Parts Source for 15 bucks. Turns out its the axle nut size for a civic. The impact spun that nut off no problem. Great tip and very effective.
The first thing I found was at some point it was mighty darn hot in the rear case.
That's a melted scavenger filter. It may have occured when the first clutch was replaced.
There is bluing of some of the pressure plates and evidence of heat/oil abuse.
I pulled off the spring using a similar setup to Pruor's and several friction plates are shaved down and toasted. No pics of those today.
Lesson learned- only do burnouts on somebody else's bike :).

if ya decide to replace the pressure plate..make sure you pull the ring seat out of the old one to put in the new one..trust me..i know from experiance..i had to pull mine out twice..LOL..before figuring out what i was missing..
