White smoke

 Hi all
I have a 1999 tourer when I first start the bike in the morning I'm getting white smoke out the tail pipe. it's not a thick white smoke but it noticable and it continues until it warms up. Once the initial start up it doesn't do it again the rest of the day. I have just over 37,000 miles and it runs fine. My oil level as well as anti feeze level never changes.

Any idea's what could be wrong? bad rings? or seals?

Thanks Keith

Is La Porte, TX near the coast? I think you might be in the Houston area. As your pipes cool down, they will condense lots of humidity inside the pipes. When you start it up, the water will boil and show as steam coming out the exhaust. Not to worry.

mine does that from time to time. as long as the bike is running good and the levels are not dropping you are good. the lady is just aging.

R J:
That is whats known as RODE HARD & PUT AWAY WET..

Condensation.....   Don't worry about it, it will turn your hair silver to worry.

Robert:
There is no problem, stop looking to do alternative maintenance ;D
