Now, if I were dishonest, I could delete two of my earlier posts and win as the last on Page 22. But I would not do that. Nope, wouldn't be prudent? Nope! Nah Ahh! Nope! Ain't gonna do it.

My mom had a teacher friend who spoke German, and when I was in the 6th grade, she taught our choir to sing Silent Night in German. I recorded an acapella version of it quite a few years back as a tribute to her.

All the ladies in this club are 'ladies' in my book.
Once however, I wrote Brother or buddy on a Karen post, and Lori called me on it.

That's the one, Valkahuna, although I'd never make the attempt to put it in writing any more than I'd try to write down the Polish folk songs I learned phonetically back in the 50's while playing in an all-girl polka band. My mom let me quit high school to travel with them. That lasted three weeks until the father of three of the girls laid down the law and said our boyfriends couldn't visit us because it'd look like a house of ill-repute, and he also wouldn't believe that any of his precious daughters were smokers (we all were). I quit the band and went back to school. When I went to Inzane 10, I found the bar in Cheboygan where I met that first boyfriend, but the bowling alley across the street, where he took me on our first date, was gone. The Mackinac Bridge had just opened up; my first trip across it was after the gig when the bar closed. not much to see at that hour.

And by the way, "Elvis has left the Island, right after the Pied Piper shooed the rats out of Chicago". left the Island, ya lost me there. But I'm early to lose anyway. I have a tendency to wander off when mom is shopping. At least it got me out of the mandatory go shoppin gig.
