Unfortunately you aren't really going to have a choice unless you write in for someone.

why doesn't a write in candidate ever take votes from a democrat?

that is called divide and conquer!

Paxton,

You are like others who have frequented this forum and departed.

You like to fly in, dump a pile of crap and a bad smell and fly out.

Stepping back to watch the commotion you have created like the boy who cried wolf.

Unable to respond to simple questions like a true cool aid drinker. All bubbles and no substance. There's color there but it's translucent.

My ignore list grows by one.

I don't always agree with Monsieur Paxton but I haven't noticed him being particularly disrespectful and I for one enjoy people who get conversations started. Isn't that why we're here on a discussion forum?

I mean you can ignore whomever you like but I just think that Paxton of all people is an odd choice to put on your list.

same here I'm about as polar opposite from Paxton as you can get, but I'll still read his posts.

Thanks Oss for putting an "adult" perspective on this. It must be desperation time already for BO if this is wht he and his minions are concerned with. Of course the bullying issue is more important to them than something as mundane a debt crisis.

Clark;
You are too demanding... 5 reasons?   ??? Here is one and one 1/2... :tickedoff: :2funny:

1. I don't enjoy voting for the guy who is going to loose. Gas is expensive to waste it on the looser. ;)

1/2. In the final analysis, Americans like a winner.

PS: You guys, be reasonable for once. Agree w/-me!  :2funny: :2funny:

You can't have it both ways, I can't be both reasonable AND agree with you. Anyone with any "reason" involved in their thinking would not agree with you.

It's curious to me that people who like to take shots at Obama's character are now poo-pooing this story. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". As if it's only all about the nuts and bolts of issues when it's THEIR guy we're talking about. I got news for you; this kind of thing matters to people and it should. It doesn't mean that you can rule out a candidate because of something like this in their past but you should definitely look at them closely to see if it's a character flaw that may still be in their makeup.

I can't picture Mitt Romney ever being a bully. A bully's toadie? Absolutely. I aslo can't imagine him ever standing toe-to-toe with someone his own size.

But then that's what happens when bullies grow up and find out that eventually you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar; they shift gears into glad-handing Smilin' Jacks. It IS totally consistent with his pathological need to be a big shot and do whatever it takes to impress people, even at the expense of some poor kid's dignity.

it's a bogus story.  the "victim" never went to the news, nor was there ever a police report of it.  in reality it was a childish prank, Mitt snipped the hair off of a "closet" homosexual.  "closet" meaning NO ONE knew he was gay at the time.  as a matter of fact, the so called "victim" was shocked to hear it was an issue NOW!!  i'm sure that had everyone known he was gay, they would have never touched the guy......

Is his sexual orientation even important? I think the important part is that he and a few others held someone down and forcibly cut his hair. WHY they did it is not important. How would YOU react to that kind of "childish prank"?

Romney didn't deny it and four witnesses have corroborated the story. It's not a bogus story.

that's the point about Obama, the average person never learned a thing about him until he was president. he was a 'tabula rasa' a literal blank page, that gave everyone the opportunity to come to the wrong conclusion about him.

I hope people don't judge me by the crap I pulled in high school.

we didn't even get to find out the compsition of the man Obama much less the child in high school?

They actually have a "Dope University" in Oakland, where you can take a course in successful growing techniques... all legal! ;)

If you ride to Mendocino County, you could get a trash bag-full for 'bout $50k.

Had to wear shorts from 1964 to 1968, age 11 to 15. Also had to wear a school color blazer and shirt.

Along with a school cap.

Guess that's why I ended up with a University degree in Economis.

Played cricket and rugby. Threw the discus, hammer and shot. Member of the swim team. Came second in the all England school boy championships chucking the discus.

It's terrible what a well disciplined education will do for one.

However I was a rebel. When my hard shell briefcase lock broke I carried my school books wrapped in a belt. YES I DID.

Anvil, with all due respect, you have no idea what anybody's "pathological need" is.  Talk about trying to impress people. Give it a rest.

I'm sorry, I'll stop using big words. What's the max amount of syllables I can use before you're offended?

Anvil, I don't think it was the count of the syllables.  I believe it was the pomposity of the contextual presumptions.    ;)

Before I forget.

I don't approve of Romney's actions at High School, he affected a handful if people.

This President has affected THE WHOLE NATION.

I'll ask you again as you dodged the question last time ranting about Bush/Cheyney.

What has this Federal Govt done to improve the life of the

non union

non welfare recipient

tax paying

legal citizen

of this country?

I am FINALLY benefiting from one of the handouts.  Due to some gov't program, we for a refinance to a 15 year loan at 3.75%, even though our bank messed us up with 2 30 day late thingies reported to the credit agencies.  Since we were sending an additional $500 a month since the beginning, and sending the same with this new loan, we'll be finished in 18 years.  Not too bad.

But what is given with one hand will be taken with the other. Long term the country is not going to benefit.

We have a Greek tragedy looming just around the corner.

Factor in the debt owed by many states and the Federal debt and we are in a worse financial position than many of the Euro countries who are in a real jam right now.

I couldn't agree more!  I think it's ALL bullchit!  We don't need any help paying our mortgage, buuuuuut, I've been a paying bystander for so long that I'll snatch anything I can at this point.  Yes, it sounds terrible, but this is where I've been pushed to.  I watched neighbors trade in their 15 year old crappy trucks and SUVs for $8,000 to buy their kids Kias and Toyotas (not one poor person  among them), others got to lower their gov't backed student loan rates to 2% while I had to remain at 7% because I took the initiative to consoldate them and begin paying them sooner, I've had to send the kids to private school because our $38,000/kid/year school system can't graduate more than 60% of the kids in a school with only 4 classes in each grade.  And our taxes have doubled in the 10 years we're here.  My neighbor who just retired has been putting out a lot of garbage recently and he told me that he's gonna have to sell because the taxes will be too high for them now and that he's pretty upset about it.  He said that he needs the $1.100 a month mor than Westchester does.

Clark;

A Dumbass answer like that dishonors everyone in America that takes this stuff seriously. You are no better or different than the "informed voters" that were shown in the video!

The only reason you posted this crap is to incite a riot. I'm tired of your $hit Paxton!  :tickedoff:

It's curious to me that people who like to take shots at Obama's character are now poo-pooing this story.

it's a bogus story.  the "victim" never went to the news, nor was there ever a police report of it.  in reality it was a childish prank, Mitt snipped the hair off of a "closet" homosexual.

If you ever played sports or belonged to many of the clubs in High School, that was not unusual behavior. Although it was not right, it was common as a Freshman to get set onto a water fountain, or have your foot stuck into a toilet, or some smart a$$es even had their heads put into toilets and then flushed.  :o

No one killed themselves over any of these pranks. It was a part of growing up. Now we have a Nation that is kinder and gentler. How could it be any different when we have a Pres who aoplogizes to anyone and everyone in the world for anything that they (the other guys) may not have appreciated. Or the attitude that nothing is our own responsibility, and therefore, someone else must be at fault for the F'd up way we grew up! We are raising a Nation of pussies, and woe is us if it ever comes down where we have to depend on our ability to stand toe to toe with anyone. We'll be busy running to our mommy the government, while the other guys kick our butts.  :(

(An over simplification maybe, but at least now I feel better!)  :-[

Thanks Oss for putting an "adult" perspective on this. It must be desperation time already for BO if this is wht he and his minions are concerned with. Of course the bullying issue is more important to them than something as mundane a debt crisis.

It IS totally consistent with his pathological need to be a big shot and do whatever it takes to impress people, even at the expense of some poor kid's dignity.

that's the point about Obama, the average person never learned a thing about him until he was president. he was a 'tabula rasa' a literal blank page, that gave everyone the opportunity to come to the wrong conclusion about him.

I hope people don't judge me by the crap I pulled in high school.

we didn't even get to find out the compsition of the man Obama much less the child in high school?

That's a big point. No one can be that unknown unless someone else goes to a lot of trouble to surpress things. It's just not natural!
