A Black Hills destination would be just fine with me.
Rushmore, Devil's Tower and more to see.
The Rockies of Colorado are also quite amazing.
Scenic views and mountain roads are also wonderful for gazing.

A cooler destination is preferable please!

Might have to change the dates tho. Most start have rally pricing mid July.

Hmmm....IZ in the Hills or the Rally in the Hills. Be a tough call for me still.  :-\

It was a warm summer hear in SW Montana highs in the 90's July and August but it always cools off in the evening around 50's. yellowstone and beartooth near by.

Yes, it was only 107 at the Little BigHorn.  :crazy2:
That is more central bording on eastern MT. It's always warmer over there. Need to stay near the mountains.

I would say that if Connie is at the riddle stage, it is just about a done deal at that location.  I would guess that the dates and a signed contract are not far behind.  :-X

Quite true T.P.  Suggestions for locations would pretty much have to fall on deaf ears at this point.  Of course, things can happen, so nothing is written in stone until it's written in a contract.

Will you go with the same days format I liked that it was during the week??

It would appear it's more "fun" to keep it secret than to share the information.  Teasing can be so much fun.  ;)
I'm not sure why that is but, it is what it is.

Although I would greatly appreciate an announcement so that I can request vacation before the calendar fills up with other folk's vacation requests.  The summer months do fill up quickly ya know.  I'll just set back and wait hoping I can get the time required to make this trip.

I'll be looking for a thread title announcing dates and location, I'm not sure what I can learn from this one.

Early on in the history of InZanes, we once announced the dates and location before the contract was signed.  The entire hotel was booked within a week, and we lost all negotiating power.  As soon as the negotiations are sufficiently negotiated, the dates and location will be announced.  It's really not kept a secret just for fun.

Yes, it will be the same weekday format as last year.  We're looking at probably the week of the 15th or 22nd of July.  Most likely the week of the 15th.  But, as I said, not set in stone (or paper) yet.

Connie, you Scott, Carl and oZ have fun in the negotiations.

Sure wish I could make it again.

I always enjoyed the ordeal and had fun doing it.

How's the ankle coming along.

I see the folks from Colorado are coming down to see ya.

Decent roads, great weather, plenty of places to choose from for hotels/motels, Yosemite is driving distance,,,, and there is lots of Gambling & Drinking establishments. and other Adult types of entertainment. only down side is some of us might want to rejet due to altitude.

And best of all,,,, I would be able to make it there & even bring the wife.

I agree, lets keep this on top.

I will just throw out a small bone here.  The VRCC Officers are working on it!  if you read some of Connie's last post's you will see the importance of a signed contract. until then it's just a waiting game.

I would say something should be posted by the end of November so everyone can start their planning.   :-X  T.P.

Lake Tahoe is pretty far west, but  :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude:  i have been to north shore and south shore a few hundred times, hiking, skiing, biking.  couldn't find a better place for that kind of event.  great ride around the lake, lots of places to stay not that expensive. rides in mtns, desert etc.  just too darn far if on east coast. be great, though . . .

I love the anticipation but I'm retired so time is not as much problem for me. But I do remember when I did work and it was a pain. My last year at work I put in for Inzane and they told me I couldn't have the dates, my answer was I guess I will be retiring.

I have to schedule my vacation Monday, the chance that I will guess the date of IZ is pretty slim so we won't be making it.

I just got an encouraging sign from my wife about IZ.  She said she felt I'd be strong enough to make the trip by next July, I see no reason why not. Then told me she could just go to her daughter's  place in south Fla. while I'm gone...they just got transferred to Ft. Lauderdale, only 225 miles away now. Then I told her the trip I'd like to take from Columbus, OH (where her sis lives) up through Mich. to see family, over the top of the lake and to Green Bay to my daughter Toni(the one who posted here in July), then to LaCrosse. That's assuming our guesses are on target as to location. If not, then it will be a different trip in a different direction.  Sure hope it all pans out for me this year, missed the last two....and all the good friends.  :cooldude:

I'm thinking of a trip to Inzane. Alabama to Wisconsin, visit my family then to Inzane from there I would like to start my first motorcycle camping trip. S. Dakota, Wyoming. Tetons, Yellowstone, Sturgis and then a long way home picking a direction each day.

If they pick a place as hot as last year, I will be spending a couple weeks in the Smokie mtns instead, rather that going to Inzane. Did not enjoy riding at all there, just too bloody hot.
Besides, it is about time for some thing a little closer to the south east, Colorado, 2 to upper Michigan, then Arkansas. I would like to have some thing that is not a 2000 mile ride.

Well Grumpy,  The maps put you at about 1400 + miles away from the next Inzane. hope you will change your mind by then and make it.

Assuming things go as planned, dates will be July 15-18.  Of course, nothing is absolutely for sure until contracts are signed, but those are the dates being held at this time.  The last week of Nov. we will be doing a site tour and meetings with hotel, C of C, PD, etc.

Hey Bill,

I am with you on this one as well. Enjoyed riding with you last year to InZane and back. Smokies  sound good to me! We could probably get Murph and some others to join us and have a great time. I don't care as much about the distance as I do the temps. I am afraid that most places in mid July to end of August are probably going to be hot unless you go to someplace with elevation. Just getting out of Florida during that time is HOT for anybody except Tropic Traveler.  ;D
