I'm anxious to see the red F6B up close. I really like it on first look. Not sure if it's possible to install a luggage rack to bungee a bag to if riding two up on a trip though. IMHO, it's a modern Super Valk and long overdue. I've already moved my Hondaline CB under the seat so maybe I just need to Super Valk my Interstate.

When I first saw this I thought hmmm, interesting. I like to make my bike my own, much like a lot of Harley riders. I've done what I can with my valk that hasn't been made in 10 years. But this wing hasn't been updated engine wise in  those same 10 years and there is little to nothing in the aftermarket. I checked out that sweet turbo wing on a wing board and a lot of the old farts on there were bashing it (this happens here sometimes too). "It's fast enough for me and why would u need more horsepower?" Gay. This is the the very reason why the aftermarket doesn't even make a power commander for the 1800. I don't have arthritis or a bad back yet so i'll pass. It looks like a suzuki burgman scooter and a new bmw 1600 had a bastard child.

Actually, it is because most people are more comfortable when in a group versus being an individual.  It is about acceptance.

I don't know about that Tom... My cop buddy in Brooksville has a VTX 1300 that I put on a set of Roadhouse slip-on mufflers for him & it sounds fantastic. He likes it loud & that VTX out-Harleys any HD in the V-twink cadence department.
As for making a 'Wing sound awesome, TJ had a set of pipes on his black GL1800 that sounded as sweet as any Valkyrie ever did. 
I see hope.

I rode behind TJ down in Texas one night leaving Hotglues place we was gettin' up on it and that Wing sounded awesome. He claimed it had a Cobra exhaust system on it.I want to see the F6B in person but the more I think about it the less I think I want to be making motorcycle payments I've got ( 3 ) of the best cruiser's ever made and they are PAID for .

The 1300 VTX sounds much better because it is a single pin crank design like the HDs and the 1800 is not and no matter what you do, it does sound like crap.

Got three paid for Valks myself! Not looking to replace them either but it is nice to see Mother Honda at least move away from the Harley copy mode that has been so inexplicably {to me} popular over the last decade. The fact that the F6B is named "F6B" gives me hope that maybe there is some interest in the flat six within Honda on a high level. Then again it may just be an exercise in expanding the line up without really changing much, ala HD.
Regardless, the F6B is the most "Valk-like" thing to come out since the end of the Valkyrie in 2003.
As soon as my hand surgery heals I'll be lining up a test ride.

Yeah the 1300 VTX is a single pin crank engine and they sound good with aftermarket pipes. Now the 1800 is a dual pin crank engine that makes it a lot smoother/lot less vibration, but the sound does stink and I have the best aftermarkets on mine..IMO. But with 120 ft. lbs of torque, I don't have to impress anybody with sound! Just ask the HD 110ci SE guys!

That explains it. I have seen many more 1300 VTX around here than 1800. I do know that the 1100 Shadow sounds like poop regardless of aftermarket exhaust while the 750 Shadows sound great. Must be the same thing there.
Anyways, IMHO no V-twink sounds as good as a howlng flat 6 or wound out in-line 4 at full song!

I agree 100% its past time Honda did this bike. I can't help to think it might just be a way to get rid of some 1800 motors just like Honda did when they went to the 1800 Wing and used the Valkyrie to " get rid " of the 1500 Wing motors ....They run the 1800 Wing into the ground just like they did the 1500 Wing and sells are showing that....I see a 2000cc plus Wing coming soon and they will want to use up the 1800 motors.<<<<<All this is just my guess I've been wrong before

I have been thinking the same thing.... it's right out of their previous playbook....BUT.. I still like it!!!!  When they make the 2000cc Wing, we will all be wanting that engine in a Valk...LOL

Don't want a trunk, just a luggage rack for my rally pack for those long trips. I like the look a lot and the 1832 FI a lot more!!!  Makes me wonder if that lower front cowling will come off to show the motor more? Also wonder what the general MPG is on that? Single side swingarm sounds great too!

I like how the video states all new Honda cruiser or something to that extent.  How can it be all new when all it is is a revamped goldwing?  I don't get it at all?  Why not just buy a goldwing with reverse, taller windshield, and rear luggage bag for a few grand more?  Am I missing something?
The windshield, at the very least, should have power adjustable since the way it looks why even put a dinky windshield on it and same can be said about the so-called new revised goldwing not even having a power up/down windshield like BMW has. 

I bet sales flop except for those who have money to throw away which I doubt many of us have?  I'd buy a nice maroon red used 2003-2006 goldwing for 11K all day long over buying either goldwing new.

What's the matter with the Honda Japanese engineers?? The US is probably one if not their biggest customers! They should know there are a lot of big people over here. I mean Yamaha Venture, which has been out since 1983 that is comfortable and big floorboards for tall ppl and now Kawa is in the game with the Voyager Vaquero. I'm not crazy about the Kawa but I know the Venture V4 is smooth.

No, I would never buy a new one but they hold their value pretty good. Yeah it is 2013 and still carbs? That is crazy, and what is even crazier is up until last year or the year before they had cassette tape deck!  :roll:m If I bought a new or new to me it sure would be fuel injected!  I just learned a lot about them( 4 carbs too)....and of all places the 1800GL board!  Check it out!

This I agree with.  It worked for Honda before, it'll work again.  There are already 2000 cc bikes out there and Honda's Flagship is falling behind.  I fully expect to see a new Wing in the next year or two.

The venture is much more top heavy than the valkyrie. And it pinches the boys. Seat design is crud. But it is an awesome and solid bike. He put a little money into his this winter, made it look nice. It can in NO WAY hang with the valk on the straight away....if racing is what you're in to.

The venture is close to 900lbs I believe. When fully loaded, with momma on the back, it can be tricky on it's feet. Low speed maneuvering is difficult (for me) but on the highway it's a cadillac. Cruise control, stereo, CB, all came OEM.

The storage capacity on the venture is excellent. Dad hauls the toolbox, panchos, and kitchen sink, and can still cram all of everyone's leathers into the trunk. There's a big following for the venture at venturerider.org

Yes they are nice bikes and hold their value unbelievably- too well. Like the Valk they are bullet proof. It's the only bike that I know of that comes with a 5 year factory warranty! They are top heavy but not as bad as my 1800 VTX. Yeah the Valk will outrun it but not an 88ci Ultra Classic. What I like about them is the smooth 4 cyl and the luxury but no way would I buy new because of the dinosaueric carbs!! Also I hear the valve adjustment runs around $800 every 1600 miles I think. Wonder why Honda can't see the demand for this Jap "Ultra Classic" and bring it back with 18-2000cc with FI? I'd be standing in line!! Not everyone loves a GW especially a taller person.

I don't know, I like 20's and 30's cars, older motorcycles, and younger women...why???? Becauses they all have CURVES and just plain make me drool.  This F6B is just too angular for me. I, like many here, would love to have a chromed out 1800 EFI motor and a reverse, but that bike just doesn't do it for me.
