You never can tell I did'nt expect the Mayor of Marion, Virginia to come hang out with us last year when we did the ride. He was a cool Ol' Dude and pretty much throwed us the key to the city  :cooldude:

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Hate you will miss this one we have riders from 20 states and not a single one from Kentucky  ???   This ride moves around every year and will NOT be in The Blue Grass next year.

Hal is coming however he lives in Indiana... I think maybe he was born in Kentucky  :-\  The way its lookin' that might be as close as we get to having someone attend one of the biggest rides of the year in their home state  :(

It looks like it might come down to making someone a honorary Kentuckian ... Maybe the first night pool party we can see who has the best Kentucky heritage inherited by birth and right now I think its Hal from Indiana who I'm pretty sure he told me he was born in Kentucky ..... Everyone can throw a dollar in the pot and buy that  honorary person whoever it is supper just for being the representative of The Blue Grass  :D

I lived in Kentucky from 1977 to 1999 before moving to Tennessee if that helps. Kentucky is a great State with great people :cooldude:. I think moving the Ride from June to May might have thrown some people off. What I mean is they may have already made plans for Memorial Day weekend. I like that you move the ride date, I always take that Friday off from work. Looking forward to seeing everyone and again thanks to Don, Tracy and Joe for making this ride happen.

I was born and raised in Valley Station, KY,  left in 1988 now live in Peachtree City, GA.

That was a pretty easy call for me since Britman passed the torch to me for his Memorial Weekend Ride this year. Don ( Highbinder ) wanted this ride around the first couple weekends in June and that would have been back to back gone all weekend while paying for motels , gas , food ,etc... Kinda killed two birds with one stone doing The Memorial Weekend.... We are near 80 folks thats signed up and I'm thinking a few that has not that will be there.... Should be close to 100 just like last year  :cooldude:

:( :( :( Sorry that I have not been on the forum much as the cold and snowy days and nights have me frozen into a popsickle. I got to check on Bruenhilde on Saturday and was hoping to bring her home and get some WELL Needed riding in    B U T   as luck would have it, the #1 fuel bowl gasket was pouring fuel. So my best bud and i quickly tore her down and discovered that the gasket had failed. Called the local dealer to ask for a replacement and as usual--WE CAN ORDER THAT FOR YOU. Be in Wednesday or Thursday. Called again today (Monday) to see if had been ordered--NO--- good ---also add the intake manifold gasket as well. I already had removed it in order to unscrew the confounded little screw on the back of the bowl. Now comes the wait...
I am hoping to get her running by this weekend and then make my reservations for Corbin. I want so bad to meet and fellowship with each and everyone of you.  I promise that I will teach ya'll how to speech this here hillbilly language that will or had been furin to you'uns. I might make you fellers and purty wimmen talk the talk and even walk like all us Kentuckyians does.  IT REALLY AIN'T HARD  !!! I lernt it in first grade the seventh time.

hey we are finally going to have some Ky. riders. Welcome Diane and Rick  :cooldude:

Blue Moon

Yep – told Blackram and Smokin Joe that we are to be in Ft Walton Beach for that whole week but my extended family caravan let us off the hook.  Don't have to take mom down now or even travel down with the family so that we could make a stop Friday night in Corbin and hang out with the VRCC.  We will continue on our way to FL the next morning – can't ride the Valk – got to take the cage with all the stuff in it  -- but dang we can meet and greet with the best of the VRCC – that's what it is all about.

Wahoooooo!
Gabby is one lucky person.  There is only   O  N  E   room left as of 8:30 Saturday 4/ 13/13  in Corbin for the ride.  Ifen you plan to be there ya'll better snag this last room.  We have sucessfully booked the hotel with 87 VRCC members. That is great and I can't wait !!!!

Blue Moon

Just had a last min. change of plans -- can't make the Corbin meetup due to travel changes for others going to FL at the same time -- dang!

I haven't posted in a while but been lurking here to see what all is going on!  I will be meeting Joe and the rest of the Wild Bunch tomorrow morning in Clinton to make the ride up to Corbin.  Been a year since I've seen most of you and am looking forward to seeing old friends again!
Ride safe everyone!
