What are the Most Miles you've rode in a Day

662 on a stock I/S seat with a backrest. Just foolin around after church I've gotten 200 to 400 miles. Those after church rides DO NOT have a destination in mind.  RIDE SAFE.

1256 in one day.  London, Canada to Warr Acres, Oklahoma.  Took about 19 hours if I remember right.  That's been awhile back though.

Left Youngstown Ohio and rode clock-wise around Lakes Erie and Ontario.... back across Ohio to Ann Arbor Michigan and then back to Youngstown.

NITRO and i rode from Eau Claire Wi. to Maggie Valley NC two years ago, it was 993 miles on my GPS, but the trip meter on the cycle read over a 1000, so we call it a grand.  both of us ride Interstates with standard seats, NITRO had something on his, i rolled up a towel and sat on that, believe it or not it helped a lot!!  we left at 6am in a rain storm, rode about an hour with that, then got caught up in another thunderstorm from Rockford to Bloomington Ill!! i got my second wind about the last hour of the trip, personally i love riding at night.

742...from Eureka Springs, Ark(Inzane XII) to our lakehouses on Beaver Dam Lake in Wisconsin last year. Much of it was in 100 degree heat.

Had the Russell Day Long saddle on the bike so it wasn't too bad. The wife was on the back. I must say she's a trooper. No complaints out of her at all. She's like a puppy dog tucked in behind me on the Interstate.

Once in a while, the back of my helmet will get banged from her falling asleep and leaning forward, but I'm used to that.

830 miles riding back from Illinois to ORYGUN coming back from the first inzane at Paduooky KY  . started just west of Omaha NE ended up in Ogden UT.

was trying for a unofficial iron butt, got held up by a massive thunderstorm at the WY/UT border.

it was about 400 miles across NE, then 400 miles across WY and a bit into UT.

I did 876 miles on the first day I bought mine, riding it from Colorado Springs to Austin, Texas in 2007.  Stock seat at the time.  About 16.5 hours.

About a month ago did 800 miles running from Las Cruces, NM to Houston, Texas.  This was done with the Ultimate Low Boy seat.   About 15.5 hours.

800+ is the distance from Keystone SD to Topeka KS.  Dawn to dusk last year.  Temps hovering around 100 from
10 AM on.  No I did NOT enjoy it after I got into Nebraska in the sand hills.  107 degrees when I went through North Platte about 1 PM. Hoser

1186 in 19 hours 25 minutes.  Allen, TX to Van Horne and back on an Iron Butt ride.  Rode an orange/black std with a Corbin seat.  You either have a Corbin butt or you don't.  Guess I do!

Lotsa 500 mile days, but the best was coming back from the first InZane held in Frisco CO.  Steve K, and his wife, Harv and Robin, and a couple of others started out early in the morning, but by 10:00 in the morning, temps on the Super Slab were north of 110*...  After Robin started having issues with the heat (heat stroke), we all pitched in for a room with A/C, and spent the day, staying cool.

Started our trip again, at sundown, and rode through the night.  Got to Steve & Lauras after about 870 miles...  Believe me, by that time I was seeing things that wern't there and not seeing things I should have seen    Long day/night, in the saddle.

Fleeing the mid Atlantic storm June 29, 2012 from Athens, Ohio to Tampa, Florida; 1100 Aero speedo just at 950 miles. Air Hawk pad on seat, 100+ degree temps. Agree with Blackdog; seeing things that weren't there after dark, and not seeing things I should have. I didn't intent to do that long of a run. Probally won't do that again. Slept for 20 hours after arriving home.

Don't forget the 90+ degrees that we were stuck with once the rain stopped...

I'm not a fan of night riding, but we made it without much fuss. I think doing a 1K day would be much easier further west where you don't have so much traffic to put up with.

I loved it, and wanted to keep going, but SWMBO cut off the "silly gas" funding. Dallas to Amarillo to Odessa back to Dallas.

1532 on a Iron Butt Bun Burner Gold run.  Started in Kerrville Tx on I-10 and ran through NM to Benson Arizona, got signing witnesses and turned around and came back to Kerrville.

Hays Kansas to Chattanooga Tennessee. Big Sur to Chattanooga in 3 days. 4 days out 3 days back. 5600 miles in 7 days.

Amarillo Texas to Chattanooga Tennessee. Vancouver to Chattanooga in 4 days, after a Three Flags Classic rally from Tijuana to Vancouver. 7300 miles in 12 days.

Just googled it.....Mikeal Kneebone.......of the IBA holds the record of 1,704 miles in 24hrs.

Gee, I look at some of these and my 675 mile day kinda.......sucks.

Check out the book The Man Who Would Stop At Nothing . It covers the story of an impressive guy that set the record for Prudhoe Bay to Key West ride (among other long distance riding). It's a good read and unreal how much a person can handle.

780 miles in August 2011, returning home in 100^o temperatures.  Planning my first Iron Butt Association, Saddle Sore 1000 ride for next year after I reach the age of 70.  It would not be sporting doing that any sooner.

627 miles from Frisco, CO (Inzane VI) to Billings, MT.  What was tougher, however, was when I rode from North Webster, IN, to Minneapolis, MN, 565 miles, on my '81 Honda CM400T.  That's right, 8-9 hours saddle time at 5500-6500 RPM without a throttle lock.  To give my right hand a break, occasionally I would hold the throttle with my left hand, which makes steering a motorcycle counter-intuitive.  I can't remember the North Webster girl's name, but she had beautiful brown eyes.

Valk with a Diamond seat. Very comfortable and the weather co-operated.  The kicker for me: I was 75 years old when I did it.

Couldn't begin to do it now, 10 years later.

A far cry from when I rode a 400 miles/day on a 1946 Matchless thumper hardtail.  I shudder to think of it now

Did a couple of 900 plus days in 2010 going back and forth from the North West to Indiana. Those were long days, I wasn't tired of riding, but I was just plain tired afterwards and very glad to get a shower and a bed. Never quite made it to 1000 in one day.

500-600 miles days on the super-slab or highways are way more comfortable in my opinion. On twisty, slower two lane roads it's the hours and the intensity of the ride that wear me out before the miles. I've made a lot of 500-600 mile rides on the OEM seat of my 97 standard. But, the Ultimate seat and back rest I have now are way more comfortable.

In my younger days I may have gone further but the day I joined this club I  just got back from a 460 mile run.  Hence the name saddle sore.
More than I ever thought I could go anymore.
