I used the rattle-can when I first painted my headers several years ago. It will not last long before it start's flaking off. I use BBQ / Stove Rust-Oleum 1500 degree paint now and apply heavy with a brush. I still have to touch it up from time to time.... That's a sharp bike you have 

HA....  that is the paint I used also, Ive used it before, it holds up fairly well. That is the best picture I have seen of yours Smokinjoe,, looks like you keep a clean machine.....  That picture makes me want to lay on the bank and take a nap in the shade.

Hey Bone, the wheel is stock, just sanded then polished out with a wheel on an angle grinder and compound... probably two or three hours of work

Here is the follow up on the baffles. These are the ones I bought.

I scrapped  the pipes with a 1 1/2 piece of tubing and used the shopvac to remove the carbon and buildup. I welded the nuts into the baffles for ease of installation although I am not sure that was the way to go as you had to get perfect alignment to get the bolts in. I did not weld a cross brace into place as the baffle provided a place to grip them for installation or removal. I used a light coating of grease on the baffles to ease installation and they fit perfect. They work good and make the bike sound about the size it is,,, without baffles it sounded like a giant bike,, not sure which sound I prefer, but I will not get a ticket now. I do not feel any wrapping of the baffle is necessary and I almost wish it was a bit louder, but it works just fine. I have an audio DB meter, but did not take a reading before I installed the baffles, but I feel they quieted the bike by nine or ten DB,, it is substantial.    Anyhow, these baffles will work in the Cobra six into six exhausts.

I have the cobras. The baffles are in mine and the bike was dyno tuned with it that way. However, just for craps and giggles I would like to ride it once without the baffles just to hear it. I wouldn't keep it that way. My baffles don't have the little bar used to pull them out.

Soooo....how the hell do you get them out? I've tried to no avail.

Same thing gere guys, I pulled the 6-6 off and replaced with stockers. Only real butt dyno difference was 60+mph roll-on. The 6-6 had no baffles and the bike flat lined on a sharp throttle jab at interstate speeds. With stockers she pulls like a diesel. I loved the sound but on an hour long commute they were much too loud. I would love to find a way to get them down to a respectable growl at 3300-3500 rpm but open pipes were way too much for me! And to top it all off, I'm 31...bet some of you more seasoned guys would think I would be one of those guys who want it loud LOL!

I would also like to say that I didnt fool with the carbs a bit when the 6-6 pipes were on, I knew I should they were just to damn loud.

After seaching numerous sites and ebay for the correct sized baffles; I called Cobra yesterday, for approximately $121.00 & $13.00 for shipping to SC.

Use your hook tool, grab the baffle in one of the holes and connect it up to a slide hammer,,,, they will come out. You may want to scrape off the carbon in the pipes first.
