 We are definitely attending but wondering if anyone has ever attempted transporting a crockpot full of baked beans in the trunk of an Interstate, with power cord plugged into an inverter in the saddlebag?

As Posted in our Original Post, We will be providing Grilled Chicken , Baked Beans , Coleslaw and Iced Tea..
Unless you really want to bring more baked beans, It sounds like more Trouble than it's worth. Cooking them in The Trunk of your Valkyrie?
Potato or Macaroni Salad or a Casserole would be more Travel Friendly.
Bring whatever you like,We are looking Forward to having a great Time.

Jeff and I would like to make it to the cook out. Because of a huge project Jeff has going on at work, We can't commit, yet. Is there a hotel near by? I'm hoping if nothing else, maybe a little late....We would bring a dessert, I certainly would know the day before......

There are a Few Hotels/Motels  in Ocala. The Closest Being a Newer Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Silver Springs, On the Corner of Hwy 40 East,( East Silver Springs Blvd.) & Hwy 35,(Baseline Rd),It is 17 miles away. We Hope you will be able to attend and it would be a Pleasure to have you and Jeff.

and hit the Micky D's at 54 and 41 just  to get something in my gut so I make it to chow time.
Anybody want to hook up I should be there by 7am and blow up  I-75 so I can go on the ride.

Bert, according to Google Earth it looks like your place is the first one on the left just east of 183rd St. Road. Still hoping to make the ride, I'll know more in the next day or so. To top off 2013, Rita broke a crown off a molar Tuesday afternoon. No pain so far but sure makes life more difficult for her on top of eveything else, seems the two dentists she used in the past have since retired.
