Sorry, but we are trying to come to a conclusion of what happened based on the information provided to us by the media who, as a general rule, tried their damnedest to get him found guilty in the court of public opinion.

See, that's where you are wrong. There is lots of information on the case that is not available through the mainstream media. If that's your only source then you need to look harder. Not MUCH harder because it's not hard to find...

In your experience in DV cases, no one ever lies or embellishes the truth in their favor?

This statement is particularly funny in light of what you say further down...*

And

We got a part of the main stream media that had tried and convicted Zimmerman in their court of public opinion.

I trust Zimmerman far in excess of the main stream media.

:2funny: Because someone who shoot someone never lies or embellishes the truth in their favor?

The "media" was not in danger of going to prison and in fact has less of a reason to lie. But you just go right on trusting Zimmerman.

They are going to hound this guy and unload on him for the smallest of infractions.

When they are reporting on his minor traffic violations , yeah, they are out to get him.

Some people need to be gotten.

you want to walk that back a bit? :o

No I do not. There are people walking the streets that should be behind bars. Zimmerman is one of them. Don't tell me that you've never felt that way.

The young lady in question hasn't shown very good judgement in her choices either. A recently divorced man, recently found not guilty of murder, and she thinks he is good "daddie" material, since she is already pregnant by him! She had to be looking to add some drama to here life and maybe have her 15 minutes of fame.

hmm? It seems she lied about the pregnant part.

QuoteZimmerman told police the argument erupted after he tried to leave because Scheibe was pregnant and wanted to raise their child by herself, though police say Scheibe disputed the account.

"She told me it was better if we co-parented and she raised the child on her own," Zimmerman said to a 911 dispatcher in a separate call. "I said, 'Are you sure this is what you want to do?' She said, 'Yes.'"

Zimmerman continued, "As soon as I started packing up my stuff to leave, she just completely changed." Asked to elaborate, Zimmerman said he wanted to leave amicably, but Scheibe "just started smashing stuff, taking stuff that belonged to me and throwing it outside, throwing it out of her room, throwing it all over the place.

"I guess she thought I was going to argue with her, but she's pregnant. I'm not going to put her through that type of stress."

In a question-and-answer session after Monday's news conference, Lemma told reporters, "At this time, the victim has disclosed to us that she is not pregnant."

doy! John Corzine! but you gotta have faith that the system will get them eventually.they will usually repeat bad patterns of behavior and thus get snared. your statement sounded a little bit like you wanna go all vigilante on him ;)

Okay I can see where you would get that from my somewhat vague statement. But for the record, I would never advocate vigilane activity. Whether someone deserves it or not, if you start accepting vigilanteism then you are putting everyone's fate in the hands of a mob and having an effective law enforcement is perhaps the single most important definer of a properly functioning society.

I accept the verdicts in both the OJ and the Zimmerman cases, however, I do think one of them was incorrect.

Nothing to do really but accept the verdicts as that is how the jury system works. I am convinced at least one verdict was incorrect and the other may have been but regardless, those were the verdicts. I will say, though, that Mr. Zimmerman may do well to learn from Mr. Simpson's example before he winds up in a place very much like Mr. Simpson's current residence.

Sound like good advice to me.
