Sharing my 1st Impressions:

  Fast Black – Very Cool

Sitting on it was like the old days of my Harley Sportster.  Feet flat on the ground, center of gravity – LOW.

This is a 'minimalist's' Gold Wing.  1800 engine, single side swing arm, fuel injected – what we'd like on OUR Valks.

No apparent way to attach functional windshield – possibly a bug shield to the handlebars.

I think saddlebags would look awkward on it.

Aux. light pods (which have pre-fabbed cut outs in the plastic) are NOT pre-wired like the Wing or the F6B.  And no place on dash for switch (like Wing or F6B).

  Clearly, this is for the 20 – 40 crowd, F6B 35-60, Gold Wing 55 – infinity!

The excitement in my brain says "HELL YEAH" but the joints in my body say "ARE YOU KIDDING ME".

I didn't take a test ride.  They looked at what I was wearing and sorta hinted that I didn't have my riding gear on . . .   WTH . . .  this IS my riding gear.

This would be an EXCELLENT 2nd bike for around town...  to taunt the Harley riders.

Rode to the local dealer yesterday to see if they had one on the floor.  I have not seen one in person.  They only had one in a crate and that one was already sold.  I'll have to wait a little longer.

They have one in Toccoa Georgia, I'm headed out soon to look at it.

They were real nice to me last year when I went to see the F6B,
they let me ride one and all... that's where I'd buy one if
such a thing was to happen  :cooldude:

Tailgate Tommy

My dealer said they would have one available to demo for their open house on the 26th.

Well I'm back... it was still in the back...

Turns out they couldn't sell the F6B I rode last year... three people who wanted
one turned it down. Finally another shop needed a red one and the buyer
agreed to accept one that didn't have zero miles on it. I rode it seven.something
miles, and one of the salemen rode it about four miles. So... no ride this time...

They said they'd know more about the accessories when they show up on
the powersports.honda.com web site. The F6B accessories just showed up
a month or so ago  :( ...

Still have to wait for some windshields and saddlebags...

Can't get past the cheese graters where the engine should be.   :(
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

It's starting to grow on me, but I thought the same thing about the "cheese graters". The other issues I have are the same as everyone else's:
Need a windshield
Want wired pods
Need a better seat
Need bags
Don't really like the skinny front tire.

Because they named it "Valkyrie", eveybody has missed the point.

The 2014 Valkyrie is not, and (IMO) was never meant to be, a CRUISER!!!  It's HONDA's flat 6 Sport Bike.

THIS is my Valkyrie Cruiser  8)

The "Cruiser" has more to do with ergonomics and attitude than having a certain "retro" style. IMO
The new Valk fits these criteria. To each their own. There are certainly plenty of folks that would also include a V-Twin in that criteria.

I hear yah on Honda dealers NOT wanting to let you ride one if not, according to them - 'proper' riding gear.   I wanted to test drive a used honda goldwing before I got my Valk 6 years ago and Honda dealer didn't let me since was in shorts and t-shirt = MY proper riding attire.  I told him I have my helmet, should be good enough, but they refused and I walked out - heck with them!

The dealer who sold me the Valk I have now had no issues with it, just said take an easy is all.  SOLD!

If skeering Harley Riders is your goal in life. You need to get a life.

Harley riders have never been afraid of a Honda.

Why should they be.

If riding what I see is a great naked Gold Wing, then you have found one.

Zero Gravity is probably manu. of a good fly screen.

Memphis Shades has one for sure.

A back rest for a passenger, with a luggage rack and a good motorcycle pack for the rack.

You are set to tear up curves and hills. Imagination is what is lacking.

LaMonster would love to customize this thing.

Good platform for a real cool bike is what I see. F6C, just ride it.

GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES from the democrats is my prayer.

Skeering Harley riders has never been big on my plate.  Was just trying to make a point.  :)   . . .  guess you missed it.

But you are right about getting your bike the way you like it.  :cooldude:

That's why I'm keeping what I have  and going to ride it like I want!!!  ;)
