If the color code is the same then the red and blue are the hot leads and that was the concern.  Thank you for the information.

Sadly I have some test tones and track information on my phone to identify channels but nothing for polarity / phase.

I removed the trunk and added speakers in the saddle bags (see previous posts) so I know the polarity of the speakers but not the color code from the factory plug.

When I am finished I will do a full write up an Valk audio with pictures...

Thanks again,

Troy

Fordmano-  I'm sorry I must have completely missed this post!!!  I would have ordered it there had I seen it.  However instead I got to help support Chris and his parts bike sell off.

Thank you again for posting the link!  Some members are a treasure trove of information...

Troy, if you haven't read Fordmano's multipoint upgrade post I highly recommend it . I think it could be a lot of help with what you are doing :cooldude:

Spring time again and Wednesday I took Quick Silver out of storage and put him in the garage...

Rode him to work on Thursday and now items to work on over the next month:

1) change the rear 6.5" speakers that I put in the saddle bags from the Pioneers to polks matching the fronts.  (sensitivity / balance issue)  I don't like having to fade to the rear so much...

2) add an impedance matching circuit between the factory audio system and the Kenwood amp powering the speakers and between the MP3 source and the AUX input.

3) Add the trailer light wiring harness (4 pin flat).  It came with a square 4 pin that I removed when I added the standard / tourer brake / tail light.

4) Change the oil and filter.

5) desmog...

6) Decide if I am keeping it or selling it for the lighter 2014 Valk.  After the next "long'ish" trip up to Halifax, NS I don't anticipate any long trips so I am debating whether to keep Quick Silver and make him quicker via Attic Ratt in Tulsa or change to a lighter run around bike for my normal day rides...   And it is a tougher decision that I would have ever imagined as my Ghetto Valk and Quick Silver have been excellent bikes...
