I dont mind hijacking the thread as it is to me about riding the BRP and Inzane

A second to the opinion that the BRP should not be traveled if you are on a tight schedule.  You need relaxed attitude to just cruise along, enjoy the ride, & not be concerned about how far it is to where you want to go.
Someone mentioned that it is patrolled - & it is by the feds.  I've heard a speeding ticket there is really expensive.

We've rolled along at 75 to 100 on The Blue Ridge Parkway ( we've been lucky ) . I've always heard IF you do get a ticket it doesn't put points on you DL. I hope I never find out if this is true or not. Several that come to this site was on the ride that comes to mind when we turned them loose across the northern end.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

No Andy, I am only a couple hours out, and will zig-zag VA back roads to get there (I'll never see 81, and come in from the East).  No rain predicted and I will probably leave early-mid afternoon.  By the time you are at I-81 and I-66 (a likely meet up), you are not all that far from I-64 east to Waynesboro anyway.  Sorry.

Sat down here is full sun and 0% rain.

Sun ride down is only 20% precip here, and 40% in Asheville.
