max. rpm - idle screw adjustment - difficult ??

Today I played a little with my new "toy" - that Gunson gastester.

Result =  it does work when you have much patience - much calibrating , but once it keeps steady on 2.0 then I think it measures.

Found the first cylinders less CO ( CO-% = 5,1 - 5,2) - the middle cylinder gets more CO2 - 5,5%.

So shortly I will try to turn the pilots till all of them 6 show a reading of 4 % CO - I will try 4 because at this stage bike is running great - pulls good, very very nice sound (deep) and mileage on a trip 2x 100km was 34 - I did drive mostly on the highway at speed 140- 150km/h - did 3 to 4 times the test for topspeed that was 210 km/h - I was alone on the bike and no windshield.

This mileage is good for me taken in consideration the speed and tests.

I will let you know how it went with adjusting through the piggies with a "toy-CO-meter".

Today I went with my Lady + the gunson gastester to the garage - I wanted to compare the reading from my test-CO-unit with the man his CO-device.

His (very old CO-meter !!) gave a reading of 3% CO - my Gunson-thing gave 5,1% co;

I drove home and went to a brandnew garage - there they had an expensive CO-meter (that analysed also many other gases) - did the reading there and I saw : YES ........5,05% CO

CONCLUSION : my relatively cheap CO-meter measures the exact CO %.

2.3/4 turns out of pilots = +/- 5%CO

It is too much, I will now try to turn in the pilots till I obtain 3% on all 6 pipes - then testride it.

Then put them all at 4% + testride - and then I will know what is the best.

Afterwards synchronisation of them all and my Baby wil perform and have a good mileage.
