will call you tonight looks like we will be hooking up at salem around 10:30 and should but us at E Town around 12 noon I will call Hal and then call you looks like in will be in low 30's to start the day for both of us.

I'm still going... Only indecision here is what to take to deal with the cool weather. Gerbigs and leather? Tour Master cold weather textile suit? I'm leaning hard towards the latter, but... I dunno...

Don't want to over-dress, but sure don't want to be under prepared either... Don't fret none, though, I'll sort it all out before Thursday... most likely flip a coin, but that seems to work well for me.

As for the other riders dropping out... perhaps it's George Bush's fault? Whatever it is, I don't like it one bit... Nosiree, those are some of my main buds, and I'll surely miss jawin' and such with 'em all... Maybe we can put through a conference call or sumthin'...

Feces occurs, I reckon... Those Tennessee boyz not making it are good folks, and they'd surely be there if they could. I propose we hoist two or ten in their honor, perhaps even have a moment of silence... We'll miss them and all they contribute to our gatherings, but... Life does have a way of altering our direction sometimes... See ya there... unless, of course, life has different plans for yours truly...

had to cancel my reservations today. the wife got laid off this weekend. they say its temporary, but we will see.

Patti and I are still planning to come. I may put Patti in a cage to follow me down and back up. She's a trooper, but we're leaving later than I had hoped for on Friday. I'm needed at work. It's only about a 3 hour ride for me, but it will be dark before getting there. May look at getting us some electric gear in the future, but for now it will be layers. With the weather possibly being wet and cold Sunday, and having to ride in the dark, just think keeping my Patti warm and dry for both Friday and Sunday will be the way to go. She's not arguing with that.

I hate saying this, but I have a friend/brother here in the CVMA who has offered up his enclosed trailer, so , WTH I'm gonna take him up on his offer and trailer down. It's just safer with the deer running this time of year. I try not to purposely ride after dark this time of year.If Patti wasn't going, I wouldn't think of trailering, but since we're bringing a cage anyways, well why not.

I had a Buck sheet on my front fender today about a mile from home.

I just touched his leg, brakes squealing, he crapped and was gone in less than 60 seconds.
