Meem died this morning at home in Pittsburgh with her daughters and Eric (Joe's son) nearby.

A brave and loving Mom.   Her passing will leave a giant void but, I have no doubt she touched many lives and all were better off because of her.    Never let her memory fade.    May she rest in peace.   My condolences to her family and friends.   Celebrate her life.

Sorry for your loss, I know how you feel since my mother is being laid to rest tomorrow. My father  just died Sept 16th and then my mother died Oct 10th. They would have been married 69 years this coming March. Dad was 91 and Mom was 93. My father had terminal intestonial cancer and my mother had advanced deminchia. I'm sad to lose them but glad the nursing home life is over.

My mom is preparing for the time she will need dialysis, just had the fistula surgery, and needs to have the flow adjusted surgically now due to limited flow to hand.  She has already mentioned just letting nature take it's course instead of having to go thru all this and that..... And I can't say that I disagree with her for that line of thought.

I've been away from a PC for a number of days and unable to respond except by phone(not easy).  I just want to say how much my family and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.  We buried my mom yesterday.  We had all the family in town, I'm still in Pittsburgh and heading home tomorrow.  Your kind words, thoughts and prayers have been a comfort and made a terrible event in my life a little easier to deal with.  Those of you that met Meem know just how huge a loss my family is dealing with.  I know some of you have been there and can relate.  It's not easy, but we live through it.  And Meem and Pap, and those that have gone before them are reunited and having a ball.  RIP all of the faithfully departed.
