As for Detroit I guess you took offense but I know there are good sections but just like any big city that there was violence in no one will want to live in a area prone to violence and low life activity that desires a good life. Actually NY's Harlem was a great example of this also, but now its filled with expensive housing. One that the Police are not afraid to do their jobs either. It has never been the government that improves or ruins a area its the residents and business working together to improve a area. But when riots and destruction of property and lack of enforcement happens no one wants to invest their savings, life and family in that area. The movie Road House was a classic story based on this one idea clean the place up and youll get business. Sorry you don't understand that. |

Don't be sorry, I understand perfectly You are an expert on things you know absolutely nothing about What makes you an expert on all things Detroit? I spend time in both places, do you, expert? Fergusun cannot become Detroit. Detroit put the world on wheels and was the Arsenal of Democracy. Streets were lined with magnificent mansions, due to the wealth of many. There were riots in Detroit in 1967 - a long time ago. What is Ferusun known for? There is much more crime in Miami these days. Fergusun is much closer to S. Florida in terms racial unrest and rioting. S.Florida is WAY more F-ed up than Detroit. Or was it the highest amount of cocain related arrest in a year.
Or maybe it was the highest amount of police corruption?

Obviously you guys are too high on Detroit so much so that to accept reality and have a meaningful discussion is not a option, but while Detroit has some pretty structures and the crime rate is down because some from Detroit moved to Ferguson to start trouble. But in the future just let me know how the bankruptcy goes so I may be able to buy some property in Detroit to make some money like the auto mfgs did and have the gov bail me out. By the way I love Hard Core Pawn in Detroit what a great show. The fights and words pretty entertaining why would you need to see what happens in Ferguson, just watch the show. I may not be a expert but I am not going to listen to the ra ra when no insult was given or meant and obviously the idea that every city has problems and people move away from problems was the intent of the post seems to just not click. Sad thing is........ The hate baiters created a entire campaign on that Hands Up thing, and it was all based on a lie. We saw spot after spot of actors, musicians, children, mothers, etc. looking into the camera and saying Hands Up, yadda, yadda yadda. The Hands Up thing went viral. Now it's been demonstrated that the honor student couldn't have had his arms up and palms out based on the bullet patterns. But it's too late. The damage is done. Hey, the administration sent 3 or 4 representatives to the honor students funeral and Holder showed up for a few days to appease the honor students family. The administration gave credibility to a lied which fed hostile uprising which resulted in damages and civil unrest for weeks, and promises to escalate upon a decision of the grand jury. Once again, the administration sticks it's nose where it doesn't belong, and seems to take the wrong side based on the truth which eventually comes out.
And Al Sharpton goes back to really expensive dwelling in NYC, driven in his really expensive car, to job where he wears make-up and mispronounces everything he reads off the large print Q cards, and make a lot of dough doing it. Go Al!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the next trajedy for you to exploit.

But, I would consider your speculations of Ferguson MO becoming a Detroit MI as an insult if I was from the Motor City. I grew up not far from East St. Louis. If ESL had the population that Detroit does now, it would make Detroit look like a northern paradise. The only thing worth "turf bashing" on Detroit is is that the Lions suck (except Megatron), and the Tigers blow (Go Cardinals) Yeah I said it GIG! I still remain a loyal St Louis Rams fan, although I hence that will soon be Los Angelas Rams once again. And according to what I'm reading on my M S N home page they plan to "protest" again tonight. Actually be glad when winter returns-generally NOT a lot of protesters in cold temperatures and wind driven snow and sleet! When I retuned home this past July I avoided St. Louis completely. Seems a bit similar to what happened a year ago doesn't it. But, I think if brown had a gun back then the good officer may have been the one that died. The kid/person last night didn't die as far as I know, unless he just died recently. |
