Kewl pic. I was 15 at the time. Never had one of those, but knew several people that did. btw....I'd kill for an original Woodstock designed t-shirt (like at the left of pic).

I was in HS when my two next door neighbors (brothers) returned in a VW microbus from Woodstock (actually drove up to the house). Those boys did not look right at all, and I think they slept for a few days straight and had to get deloused.

A high school buddy of mine went and when the movie came out, he went to see it, but they wouldn't let him in because he was under age.

Nice ride out to Bethel Woods, if you ever get the chance. There's a nice museum and an open air amphitheater that hosts concerts every summer and Fall.

Looks to be a little Honda Scrambler, a sheep in wolf's clothing as we used to call them.
Clothing style hasn't changed much over the years. I still wear jeans and loafers.
I would have probably gone, its not too far away. But, I was away in a far off land.

There's a lot of silly Woodstock tshirts at Amazon, but some that are pretty close too... I bet you could google up the shirt you want pretty easily... -Mike

I've heard figures of up to 500,000 attending Woodstock.
600,000 attended Watkins Glen in '73. That a few of us went to especially since its in our backyard and we knew how to get in thru the back door.

Went to Watkins Glen, apparently, I saw the Gratleful Dead. Also went to some F1 races there and they were crazier than the concert. One year someone stole a Greyhound bus and burned it in the "pits". I got pictures of a guy with a live chicken on a string that he would throw into a burning car and pull it out. No one messed with that dude. Then one year, I think it was at the CanAm race, someone let off a tear gas bomb, sending hundreds of people running thru campsites. Ahhh, The good old days.

When I stopped drag racing due to the breakout rule, I started spending more time at the Glen when I had a car I could run there and take lessons. It could be a wild and crazy place. If you tried the bog and didn't make it, the car got burned where it sat before you could get it out.

Strangely enough, back in the 70s, there was an outdoor concert place called Charlie B's Farm (the farm is still there) where bands like Fresh Licks, ZZ Top, Wet Willie, and Black Oak Arkansas played. Right down through the woods and across the creek from where I live now. I'm still kind of out in the sticks, this was really out in the sticks then...

Maybe cause I hung out there to long. Strange S%$t happened down there.

I grew up 5 miles from the Glen. Never heard the bog referred to as the pits. I was there for the bus burning, watched the dude steal the the blower off the diesel while the front end burned!

Right on Patrick! When I was in junior high school the standard dress was sport shirt, Lees or Levis and loafers. I was told I'd get flat feet from shoes with so little support. Now, at 71, I still wear jeans & loafers -- no flat feet either.

I have a job. I work every weekend. My work week is 7 days long and rotating shifts. I have no leave to use for rides since I burned it all up spending a month in the hospital and 4 months recovering from my kidney cancer surgery. Since my surgery, I don't get to ride near as much as I'd like....I'm still recovering. I know you weren't here. If you where, you'd at least know how to spell oyster big man. Bet you've never even eaten an oyster before. What's your excuse jackass? You snowed in up there in the liberal utopia of Detroitastan?

Its a pretty part of this country and one never left after performing there. Levon Helm stayed and spent the rest of his life there.
