this brings up the conversation the arrogant supervisor I work with telling us he is going to go to Sturgis later this year if employed still with the company that is. It's over 12 hour trip there and no way he said is he going to ride his HD 2-up (wife is VERY heavy guessing near 300lbs.) that far even taking 2 days to do he said. He just cannot sit that long on any cycle and therefore going to trailer it with his other HD buddies. Bunch of bar hoppers is about it going to be close to the full throttle saloon out there even making a comment will park the trailer, get dusty and toss some dirt on their clothes to make it look like they rode all that way to Sturgis.
I told him to go buy a Honda then and problem solved, it will make it no problems in comfort to Sturgis.

I do see his point though, not really sure even on my Valk I/S I would enjoy riding over 4-5 hours per day stopping every tank for gas and stretching. I have done 4 hours of riding straight, but much over that takes it's toll on my back and more so my wrists/hands holding onto the handlebars for that long. I'm not a huge riding the interstate doing 75 mph for 6+ hours straight. Can do it in a car, but not as much doing it on any cycle.
LOL..when i first read "arrogant supervisor" I thought you were goin in a different direction

Oh, he is arrogant. He got into my face a few months ago threatening me to go to HR and my boss at 10 p.m. at night. I said go right ahead, don't give a crap and get outta my face. He didn't like what I said on the walkie talkie for everyone to hear stating something like, 'maybe you should have had Jacob (a co--worker) help him scan some cartons'. Basically, he screwed up as he always does causing my job to be messed up and happens all the time. He found it demeaning like he is an idiot (which he can be) and not something that should have been said by a pion like me vs. him a supervisor to the general warehouse for all to hear. If the truth hurts, maybe he needs to be gone for good. Buck up and admit he screws up all the time and needs help?? Happened again last night at work. He screwed up scanning yet again scanning a received date of 1-15 vs. 1-5 NOT even hear yet and that is the ONLY one pln# he scanned all night long vs. his pions below him scanning correctly all night long 100's of plns. Called him on the radio yet again and he was nicer this time, am sure he got a talking to from his boss which I went to immediately the next day or be fired for threatening me face to face like a bully. Harrassment to me is a joke when directed at me, I won't tolerate it and will put anyone in their place even if I am a pion, but pushing 285lbs.
As far as HD owners, I found what I read of some of that long winded comment to be hilarious and mostly true. But, don't knock an overpriced scooter comparing it to a HD. I passed on my scooter last year 2 HD's putzzing going 55 mph and blew by them. A HD is NOT a scooter by any means.

I know a bunch of 400cc on up to 600cc scoots that will spank a ton of bikes, including HD's in all aspects.
Would I drive a HD, yes. Would I ever buy one, no. Guys at work laugh at me on my 250cc scoot, until I pass them on the open road as well. They think I got it juiced up on steroids able to keep up to them, but all I say is 91 octane gas is all it takes, nothing else.
