How I fixed my new Valkyrie...

I would like to request, please, that you might post a beauty pic showing the whole bike, when you can, including the new mods of course. Thanks for posting.

I lost the picture for this post. Here's one from 2024...

:cooldude: Good work. Glad you were able to finally get some satisfactory results. Do you have a link to the Amazon site with those push pins. I went through upgrading the stereo system on my F6B and lost one. I bought a couple from the dealer and you're right it was like $3.50 a piece. Definitely would like to get a deal on those to have on hand for any future work.
I got these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GXJIWRA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You might want to wait a few days and find out if I made a good choice...

They arrived today. I made a good choice. Among the mix are some just like the one I
broke, I put it in right away.

To keep from hijacking a post about useful motorcycle knowledge gleaned from
the instructables.com web site over on the 1500 tech board, I'll drag this part of
the thread back here...

If you had a design, Clearview might make one for you too.
I want a Hellcat, but X wider, Y taller. Maybe a paper pattern.
Also, as you mount it low over the front parts (like a partial fairing), it seems that a gradient tint black on the low part (like Memphis shades) would partially hide some of the parts you would like to hide (per your earlier posts).
Just got back from a comfortable windy ride... studied the shield some more, trying to
think of what would make it just right....
The hateful OEM windshield is just the right size and is only hateful because of the
straight up-and-down way Honda mounted it. It has a nice chrome bracket on it.
I held it up in front of the Hellcat, if it could somehow be mounted at fork-angle,
it would be just the right amount wider and taller. But there's no way the Hellcat's
mounts would work with it. Two sets of Hellcat mounts probably would, though. If
the rods were a little longer.
I measured the rods... .38 inches... that's 3/8 inch...
I just ordered a replacement set of Hellcat hardware and 72 inches of
3/8 inch stainless steel rod... if it works, it will still be handlebar mounted,
but the hardware and shield bracket will all be "factory made"... Hellcat
hardware is pretty nice I think, and almost infinitely adjustable...
