Just recieved another email from Rik at motowings and said the Baker IS brackets are at chrome and the turn around is 4-6weeks. Said this is the first time this has happened since they have been dealing with them. I think it's great Rik lets his customers know the status of their purchase. He wanted to return my money and let me reorder when they became available.  Told him I could wait and thanks for keeping me in the loop.

Thanks for the heads up – sorry your stuff's delayed.  I just emailed him and asked for an update, if he has one, on brackets coming from Baker for my tourer.  Maybe I'll get lucky.

Hope Baker makes your order right. I know Rik is great to work with.


Well, my stuff arrived today from Baker, and they totally botched my order.   They did send the correct mounting brackets for a Valkyrie tourer, but they omitted most of the hardware.  I don't see how anybody on their end could imagine I'd be able to mount panels with what they sent me.  Sucks. So now I have to work through Rik to get my order from Baker straightened out.  The only good news is he  reassured me that if something wasn't right, he'd make it right.

I got emails today from both Rik and Baker and the fix is on the way.  Rik even offered to lend me his mounts while waiting for Baker's!   I told him no worries and we'll let it play out with Baker

Okay, got my corrected order now from Baker, and I put everything on – Moto wings are awesome!    One thing I didn't like is the plastic 10-24 screws, which I promptly replaced with stainless ones.   Got Loctite on all the fasteners so I think it's going to stay put.

No special tools required. Go to youtube and you will find everything. I used a table saw to make the first cuts. Then used a belt sander to form the contour. A regular wood bit will be good for the holes and finally a heat gun to bend. Watch the video for the finishing touch on the edges using sandpaper and a torch

I got my plastic panels today from motowings. Still waiting on baker to get me the brackets. Did put on my fork deflectors and did a desmog this morning. Everything is back together and hit the road at about noon. Apparently I didn't do anything wrong because it ran the same as it did before the desmog.
