I'd still prefer it in the blue....less polishing and people pointing at you saying "what an idiot......."  uglystupid2

There's a BIG part of me that would love to own a Rune.  We reluctantly let our two Magnas go last Spring given that we really don't need more than two bikes, and Biker Girl understandably says No...

We RIDE our bikes, and the Runes just don't look comfortable for long distances.   But, I've seen some photos of customizations with the windscreen and sharp looking integrated hard bags.

I REALLY don't need to be thinking about all this...  Evil

The stock Rune seat made me miserable.   Then again, the stock seat on the 2006 Wing made me almost as miserable.  Replaced both with Ultimate, and there's no problem now.  Windshield added to Rune, and I use throwover bags when needed.  Generally I just put my bag over the backrest and go.

Every now and then I check out ebay looking at Runes.  A dealer let me sit on one in his shop when I picked up my brand new Valkyrie in July '03.  Just like the first sight of the Valkyrie struck a cord in my heart, so did the Rune, but I was no where ready for a bike like that.  I really like the red ones.  I do remember thinking that it would take a bunch of customization to make it fit me and wondered if they would add to the looks of the Rune or detract.

I have never heard an owner say he was unhappy with the Rune, though.  And, it is a Honda so we know it a top notch machine.
