Gov't. forms, aaarrgh!  Angry Trying to get a LOMC(Letter of Map Change) from FEMA stating we're no longer in a flood zone. Not hard at all, you go online and fill out eleven pages of info along with all the local plat book info, maps, property tax stuff, ad nauseum. In my case the property is in my wife's former name so had to include copies of the marriage license showing why I was wanting a LOMC on a different person's property. And....they all had to be scanned in, that totaled another eleven pages. I hope it's worth it, will save us nearly $500 in flood insurance premium for the year but only if FEMA produces the letter, and I already know we're exempt....our insurance agent showed us the new maps and we're outside the boundaries. If we didn't have an equity line of credit on the house, the bank and FEMA wouldn't require the insurance. Oh well, at least it has been submitted and I have a case number. They have 60 days before the current policy runs out, might be pushing it.  Grin

I hope you copy-saved to documents all that stuff, so when they say they never received it, you don't have to do it from scratch again.

I'm about to apply for my social security retirement on line.  They say it's easy... and I'm skeptical.   Sad

If I have to scan a birth certificate or DD214, my printer has decided to stop working.

Jess, I retired from a gov't. agency that audited all types of businesses. For a few years I was involved with a nat'l. investigative outfit that had us working arm in arm with the Feds. I learned a loooong time ago to document everything but the number of sections of TP I used. Plus, I already got a case number from FEMA and an email documenting it all. Everything is scanned in then uploaded, I keep the originals.  cooldude

I remember your work history John.  No insult intended.

I have spent long periods filling out on line stuff or carefully documenting a compliant or a credit card dispute, hit send, and have it time out and go blank.

Then the screaming starts.
