2014 Valkyrie belly pan

Installed my flat black belly pan on the Valkyrie. I would recommend one to all owners. Protects everything underneath and still gives quick access to oil filter and drain plug. Got mine on ebay for $55.00

Gold wing belly pan fits perfect.  Put one on mine to protect coolant bottle.

I was underneath my valk last night and I saw all the stuff that could get damaged by road debris.  This cover should be a stock item ,but it isn't.  Good thing I ordered mine last week.

I didn't see anything but a cast aluminum oil pan and 2 exhaust pipes underside, the few items up front like starter, horns and oil filter are behind the lower cowl. I think if you hit any thing large enough to destroy the oil pan your troubles will begin way before it hits the oil pan.

I just put mine on last night.  Looks really nice.  Now I have my coolant jug protected.  What a stupid place to put the coolant jug.

I wouldn't jack up on that thing, its held on by 4 screws into existing oem plastic cover, isn't it?

Yes it is.  I wouldn't jack up on it either and it only takes a few seconds to take it off.

I'm looking at something like this as a new-valkyrie lift:



Use the little ears on the engine guards to raise the front.

Slip the ears off and place the jack with a small board on it
under the shock pivot linkage to raise the rear.

No hydraulics to leak down...

They work ok.  I mostly use them for holding a bike steady or raising the rear to drop the tire through on a  full sized lift.

I just got a black anodized belly pan made by Big Bike Parts.  I noticed some of the pans warn you to wear gloves while installing because of the sharp edges.  On this one the edges are nice and smooth.  I'll put it on today since it isn't a good riding day here in Colorado.

I bought it through WingStuff for $55.  I've been pleased with this place as they have a great selection of GL-1800 items and ship very quickly.
