We're trailering it to Inzane. If I was riding by myself, I'd ride, but I want the company of my wife. cooldude

I can't say one word about trailering vs. not trailering, since only in the 40's and even 400 miles in one day is a ton for me rarely ever have done, get way too tired and sore all over to do it day after day.  I applaud you all who have that kind of capability and am sure tons more miles than that.

To each their own I say.   cooldude

I bought my Valk in 2008, not only for me but also my wife as it's our main hobby together, we like to go long distances.
The last couple of years my wife has been struggling with the longer rides and this year we have found out she has osteoarthritis in most of her joints.
Depending on how good she feels, this August will be our last long ride on the Valk, a 3000 mile trip to Austria.
Next year, I'm looking into buying a van that the Valk will fit in and also to tow a caravan. That way we can still go to far away places and still ride on shorter trips.

If I was going to a bike rally - By myself I'd consider riding (always wanted to do a long road trip sometime), but with the wife - I'd probably trailer the bike. Course - we'd need to buy the truck and trailer first....

After the accident I had last year I find myself getting tired and I do not want to deal with the winds on I-84 and I-90. So for the first time in my life Iam trailering my bike to spearfish. Hope to se many of you there. cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

You might have to park a block or 2 away, but there is plenty of parking.

Our plan is to haul our ride to Inzane in a new to us toy hauler we purchased this winter.  The wife and I have made some long rides, last summer we went from home (Kansas) to the Canadian border and through 11 states had a blast.

But decided we would travel this summer to some parks with in the state or surrounding states and stay a few days and ride the area.  We are going to give it a try, if it is not our cup of tea might have a toy hauler for sale.

Been riding bikes for many, many years. I've never trailered a bike anywhere. My wife of 30 years, who is scared of bikes, has been getting up the courage lately, and going on small rides. In fact, last year we went to Cooperstown, 200 miles and back, which was a huge accomplishment for her. I've been all over the east coast from Maine to Florida, but always solo. She has told me that she would like to do rides out west if we trailered a bike. You know who will be going shopping soon.......

Do whatever you can to get the wife to enjoy riding with you.  Treat her right!

My wife never rode even when I bought a GW Aspencade with intercom.   That's why I'm

I have a trailer.  I've not used it for my Valkyrie yet, but the idea is to use it for longer trips where the wife would want to ride once we arrive at a destination.  After having both hips replaced, she is about ready to join me on short rides after riding 2 times with me in the last 14 years.  I could not be happier.

I've been riding for 44 years, since I was 15. In this group, I'm a lightweight, with only 260,000+ total riding miles on 5 different bikes.  With that said, I don't need to show how tough my butt is by riding distance just to prove I can.  I will ride to Inzane, but that's because the wife won't be coming to the event and I enjoy the voyage as much as the destination.  Anyone who trailers to Spearfish and then rides around the area is supporting the VRCC and I hope to ride with them on the side trips.

Trailering is simply a choice of how to get to the destination with your motorcycle.  It does not diminish the rider.

At the Inzane banquet at Lacrosse they gave out an award for who trailered the shortest distance and it was about 120 miles!!  The whole room booed loudly it was hysterical.  Anyway who cares you do what you gotta do.

I think it was the last year at Jonson City someone trailered about 20 miles.     Got to admit, he had a SHOW bike.

The crowd kind of grumbled.    I just set there and shoke my head at the crowd.
