Pinto beans and cornbread?!!! WOW!!! Two of my favorite basic food groups! Now I gotta return... during winter... Ummmm, that might be a tad tuff, though... don't much care for the unpleasantries, especially any frozen precip of any sort... Still, pintos and cornbread do sound like a mighty fine reward for some modest risk-taking... I reckon I'll just have to ponder on that some...
Great roads to ride, you and Don to visit with, awesome chow... all adds up to some serious adventure... I'll be watching for a weather window in January or February... surely there will be one! I'll also keep an eye on this thread, so be mighty careful what you ask for...!

Just a note to let ya know how much I was inspired... After rereading this thread yesterday, I hauled off and made a pot of pintos right here at the ol' homestead!!! No cornbread, though... I ain't a good enough cook for anything like that, I'm afraid... Still, I do like those toot-fruit things a bunch, and they are even better when good thoughts and fond memories accompany every serving... As a matter of fact, I think I'll have a bowl for brunch right now... Thanks again!

P.S. They were oh so good! Good thing I sleep alone these days... might get a little noisy under the covers tonight!

Left the house this morning headed your way! Looking forward to another of your trademark specialty dogs - super deluxe, all the way, takes two hands to hold whopper! I'm still figuring to arrive at your trailer Saturday around mid-day sometime.
I'm taking my time meandering around through the countryside, all backroads, no hurry 'smell the roses' kind of ride. I could be there in a day and a half, but I'm taking longer because I want to explore some while doing so on shorter than usual days. I'm in Georgia tonight, but I'm not entirely sure which state I'll be in tomorrow night... This 'no plan riding' is starting to capture me with an unbreakable grip! See ya Sat'dy...!

Had a really nice visit! Always good to chat with you and Don, and having Charliemac along was indeed an added bonus!!! Good to see Bocephus, too! As for the Scooterdog... well, I didn't find it to be up to your usual dog standard... It was even better than I remembered! Charliemac and I bragged about those specialties of yours when we got home, so I'm figuring he'll be having to haul Diane up there so she can indulge her food fantasy like we did...
