Regarding leftovers, I've seen 2014s and 2013s with no miles going for the same price.  Is there a difference between years?  Are 2013s more desirable for some reason?

I believe they simply made more 13's. The two are identical with the exception of paint color to the best of my knowledge. The 2015's have cruise, slightly different exhaust and of course different colors.

Patience is a virtue young one.

I'll be looking more intensely in a few more years for a used one with more miles on it when the used price drops below 10 grand for sure.   Not much else out there that compares for comfort and power for that price.

In the meantime, my old 2001 Valk I/S should do just fine.

Look on the F6b forum, you should find one there.
Also it will have some goodies on it.

I got mine last July for 14200 out the door.
With 1000 in honda bucks and another year added to the warranty.

I'd wait for awhile the paint washes off the first couple year models . I talked to a rider over at Deals Gap ( The Dragon ) a couple weeks ago his black one was so swirled it looked nasty. He said just wiping it off the paint would come off on the microfiber cloth.

I haven't had any paint issues with my 13 red. Never have had any paint come off. Put Liquid Glass on her shortly after I bought her and occasionally apply another coat.  cooldude

If that's how YOU have to swing it, that's fine. But imo, there is NO good reason to wait a few years. Why miss out on what I think is a much better bike, imo? Your Valk is just going to depreciate also. I just got mine brand newF6b with 2 miles on the OD for $13,500.

I definitely made the right decision not to get another first gen Valk.

You can test ride it up here in Wis. once you heal but do you really want to ride another friends bike?
I'd hate to see you sell all your Valkyrie's after the test ride. That's what happened to me.

That's for a 2013, a bit more maybe for a 2014. For a 2015 with cruise the best prices I have seen are between 18K - 20K

Well he's just full of sh!t. Must be wiping it off with sandpaper. I've had mine for over a year and it still looks good.

I bet the cycle paint is on par with the vehicle paints nowadays,  way too thin and more easily scratches.  Am sure if you are careful and not rub too hard on the paint,  it will be fine.

I have ridden a new 2015 F6B deluxe much to my surprise the dealer let me ride it since told him wasn't interested in it quite yet.  It was awesome, but the 18K price tag since had the extra deluxe options, although I could 'swing it',  didn't feel like shelling out that kind of dough.

13-14K is reasonable, but 10K sounds even better in a few more years.  Doubt my Valk I/S will depreciate 3 more grand in 3 more years.  I loved the extra 10 hp and extra power/speed, but still couldn't get over the looks.  Am sure it will grow on me in a few more years when more and more are on the road though.

I have never bought a new cycle or ATV ever and never will unless I win the lotto especially when a 3-5 year old one with low mileage is there for the taking at several 1,000's less.  Still happy with my old 2001 Valk I/S, but the smiles per mile would be just a tad bit more on the new F6B.

Yah, go onto the F6B forums and would be your best bet.  Have checked out craigslist and have not seen a used one yet, too soon I would imagine.
