I just wanted say to all the members responding on this post, sending cards and prayers to Foster, you are among the best people in the world and you restore my faith in humanity. I was right there when Foster went down and my girlfriend who is a physical therapist was off the bike before I could get the kickstand down. She and I can't stop thinking about Foster and hoping for a full recovery. So keep the cards coming and the prayers going out, love you all.

Update 11-10-15


Foster is still in ICU and still dealing with numerous health issues ( they found out he has a broken ankle ) <--- that is the least of his problems. Foster is still in a fight for his life one day the family has hope the next something will happen and those hopes are shattered. He is still on a ventilator and getting fed from a tube... The man is busted up may God bless him.

Man this Foster dude is tough. He is fighting for his life for all this time. I hope to meet him some day. Hope his wife is holding up ok. It's got to be very tough on her as well. We are all pulling for you buddy. Thanks for the update Joe.

Thanks for the updates, Joe.      Yes, he must be a strong guy. 

I got tired of the get well messages and wished him an early birthday.  I hope it is just one more thing in the future he can focus on.

The fact that he is still fighting is a miracle but being on the vent and in ICU this long can cause other problems to start.

I still Pray for Foster and send the cards but we need to also send Miss Ann some encouragement and strength as dealing with this is a stressful and heartbreaking situation.

She doesn't have a way to answer questions but it would be nice to let her know the VRCC is behind her also so please take a min and send a card to Foster and another min to send one to Miss Ann and let her know we support her too.

Update 11-12-15

I got a text from Foster's brother today he claims Foster is more alert today and was asking a few questions. He said that Foster was doing somewhat better but with all the let-downs the family is praying that he keeps moving forward .Day 27 of being in ICU....Keep Foster in your prayers .

Update 11-13-15  Best update in 28 days.


Foster's brother sent me a text he is breathing on his own and was talking they was able to get him to sit on the side of his bed and do some mild physical therapy....  He is still in ICU and the family is hoping that this will be the turning point everyone has been praying for.

Sitting on the edge of the bed is a positive step forward.  Wiping one's own ass is particularly meaningful.  I'm still praying and looking forward to that update.

One of my favorite memories from a bad situation was the morning after I returned to the hospital with the infection issue.  The little girl that prints the emails came into work to see an overwhelming number of e-cards.  Oh, no, she thought, Carl is back in the hospital.

Nobody does this as well as the VRCC.
