Over the years the VRCC forum was the first place that I went when turning on my desk top.
That has changed this year..

Since I quit riding I've noticed that much that i had in common here has receded.  I also, like many, look back and remember when the Valkyrie and this board was new.  Over the years I'm sure the content here has also changed.  I noticed that the posting of rides seems to have slowed.

As a result, I still will watch the board but not as much.  I would hope that I'll make Inzane next year to see all my friends but we'll see.

That's quite profound.  Since you quit riding you have less in common with a MOTORCYCLE board.  Well, yeah.  So what is your point?

I know from experience, those on the board only know when you are here, few notice your absence.

Be well, I'm sure you will spend near the same amount of time here. Can't live without the VRCC "fix"

Well I'm not going to attempt to speak for Wayne. That would be futile on my part. I think what he is saying is there is a lot more bullshit and a lot less MC stuff posted. I would have to agree with that. In one of Oss's recent posts he mentioned that we need more Ride reports. I'm going to do my part to try to do this. AND LASTLY BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY. I would miss Solo1's posts greatly. When I click on here and see a new post from him it's the first one I go to. (Sometimes I reread them the next day even)  Smiley

BS (as with beauty) is in the eye of the beholder.  Its been talked about for years, and I don't see the issue as bad now as it has been in the past.  I will keep saying, (I learned this, others should too) if your eye beholds it to be BS, just pass on it.  Right now the first page is about half and half motorcycle to non (roughly)  and strangely one of the ones I would call BS is this one where BS is being complained about.

Maybe you right. It does seem like less MC stuff though. Maybe it's just me. My statement about not missing Solo1's posts stands though.  coolsmiley

I am NOT complaining about the different topics on this board.   After all, this is a general board.

I am just noting that there seems to be less talk and pics about rides.

I too rarely take photos when I'm riding solo, however usually do get a fair amount when the co-pilot's along for the ride. My problem is sitting down after the fact, sorting through the photos, then posting. Not very detail orientated when it comes to managing any of my MC or fishing photos...have probably thousands in the same big photo file on the PC ???
Since I do very much enjoy others' ride reports with photos on this board though, I guess I should try to post the odd one myself... maybe this weekend if the monsoons let up, from the beautiful Fraser Valley in BC

Wayne,  dont go getting all sentimental on us.

Feel free to post Miata ride reports any time as a ride report is a ride report

Maybe that frisky spinster across the street will volunteer to take pics while you ride    Wink

The only constant is change.  Our bikes and we are all getting older, its the way of the world.

As long as we have new members and their excitement to be finally riding the Valkyrie we will be ok.

Alien, nice shot, if you were not in it Lady Draco might be able to make a calendar pic from that location

There, I just have given you a reason to ride tomorrow !!

This board has changed, and changed a lot, but that is only one of the pluses. cooldude

It's still my main interest on the interweb and will be for years, I hope.

I guess other boards that are committed to one model, of one make, of one type of vehicle, are as interesting and diverse as this one, but I wouldn't know, I basically only come here.

I've even got used to the political discussions and have to admit, I've learned a lot.

I for one hope it changes and grows, as we do, and continues to attract the couple of "Newbies" that show up, so we can pass all the knowledge we have, along.
