Weekend Ride... Several of us are hookin' up in my hometown of Clinton in The Great State Of Tennessee for a ride up into the Tennessee / North Carolina mountains. Meeting at Hardee's ( Green Bridge ) at 9:00 on Friday morning. I know two out of state riders plan to join us as well. Plan is to ride over Hwy 421 The Snake into Mountain City , Tennessee and make a pass across Roan Mountain over into the North Carolina mountains. This will be a over-night ride more than likely spending the night in Elizabethton or Erwin , Tennessee. Anyone wanting to join us be at Hardee's in Clinton @ 9:00 for breakfast on Friday morning New Years Day.  |

You should know by now to be careful with blanket invitations! I got y'all in my crosshairs, so look out! Plan is for ALI and me to depart LA Thursday morning and head your way... Wanna meet for din-din at 'the place'?

Ride is growing got a few calls today... We will have riders from Mississippi , Alabama , South Carolina , Indiana and The Great State Of Tennessee on this one.... Y'all ride safe ... See you tomorrow evening |

We are going to have 10 or so bikes in the group leaving Clinton ( 20 miles north of Knoxville ) . Rough guess between 2:00 / 2:30 give or take.... Let me know if you plan to be there if not we may not even go that way. |

Shucks! It's 6:18am CST, and it's still raining here! The weather guessers are telling us it'll be stopped by 7am... we'll see. I wasn't planning to leave the hacienda until 8am anyway, so I'm going to continue to prepare for departure... If it is still raining then, I'll just delay departure until it does stop... Hope my rendezvous in Trussville, AL, doesn't get boogered-up because of this!
I'm still planning to come, mind you... I just may arrive a wee bit later than I'd originally figured. Got my palate all set for some Mexican cuisine tonight, and my blood alcohol level is way down! I also am suffering from acute social distress, so the need for hanging with my buds is approaching a critical phase. And then there's this chronic ride-need itch I have... I do suffer mightily from that, and often too! Anyway, I gotta do this for a multitude of reasons, not to mention to scratch that itch, so... BOLO a certain biker gypsy, bug slayer, goofy dude with a serious grin on his face... He'll be on the loose and in the wind soon!

Got back into the house about 5:00PM As always it was great to hang out and ride with the "Wild Bunch".  Here is more or less a group shot, Joe is right it's kinda like trying to herd cats.  You just never know where this guy is going to show up.   I saw this on the way home, it was pretty impressive. I must've been following one of Mike's maps to get there though. |
