So, late this last season, I discovered that one of the seams on the riders seat split and started to tear.  Given the fact that we use the bike frequently, we (the wife and I) were not totally surprised that this happened and figured our best option would be to buy a re-upholstery set for the bike and take care of the situation over the winter.  Given that we ordered a set of new seat covers from E-Bay.  When the set came in, we discovered that the riders seat replacement cover just plain would not fit.  Seller did the right thing and offered a refund and we just noticed that they changed their ad specification so that our year was taken out of their specifications.
Bike is a 2000 Standard
Here is where I need your help:
1)  Are all the model years for the standard seats interchangable?
2)  No issue doing the work by our self.  Any recomendations as to where to get new covers?
3)  Suggestions as to where we could send the seat out if we were forced to?
4)  Further comments or suggestions?

Thanks in advance to any and all comments, and heres wishing you all a safe New Years holiday and a great riding new year!

The saddle for the 2000 and up Standards was changed significantly.  It would not be surprising that an earlier cover would not fit.

The pillion is the same for all years.
