This is what you get from society's slavish bowing to hate groups like the NAACP...
I can't speak for Dan, but the NAACP teaches children (and anyone else who will
listen) that people like me are indecent, so obviously our monuments and relics
must be destroyed and disrespected. There's still plenty of good motorcycle
rides to go on  cooldude

So I guess iffin you pitch a loud enough bitch in the right ear you CAN eliminate history.  Undecided There are 2 sides to most Wars-eliminating one doesn't change a damn thing. RIDE SAFE.

Krauthammer said it best  (not an exact quote)......

The policies of the liberal progressives (such as the topic of this thread) are turning around and biting themselves in the ass.  Just look at what's happening on college campuses.

Wait until the other side starts finding things offensive.  We'll all be wearing colorless uniforms, masks on our faces, driving the same colorless cars because someone is going to be offended by a white guy in a Redskins shirt driving a black SUV.

This is exactly what happens when we let POLITICAL CORRECTNESS become so pervasive.

In Dearborn MI, a statue of former mayor, Orville Hubbard was removed from public display, because a few claimed that he was a racist. the former mayor may not have been PC, but he transformed an industrial area into a cohesive family oriented community, with good schools, recreation facilities and great city services. After Hubbard's departure, Dearborn slipped into mediocraty and into a divided community.

As for me, call me a bigot, racist, liberal,........whatever. If they really knew me (and other non-PCers), they might not get as much press.
Long live the Stars and Bars.

The judge must be a member of isis. That's what they are doing. Removing history. What is going to happen next. Lincoln may be safe (you know Abe) until someone gets upset. Are they going to take the civil war out of history books. What happens if all history lessons are removed. Slavery was part of it. I do not agree it was right and still do not , but it goes on today. Just because someone gets offended , we have to change history. Why are there cities being taken over by shria (?) law. We have been to countries in Europe where they have a strong toehold. Is this the start , what will they want next.
How about we protest some monuments we (I) do not like. Will a judge order them to be removed.
I doubt it will ever happen. Where is it written that we can remove history. I would like to see the make-up of those who voted on the issue. The vote should have been made public.

All the while conveniently forgetting we have a black President and then the rest of the list...................

It's easy, just erase truth from the chalkboard and replace it with bull crap.  In a couple generations folks won't know their butts from a hole in the ground.

Fundamental change.

It is true that the real bullies and racists are those
sucking on the tit of liberalism and
political "correctness"
unaware or in cahoots with the
socialist and communist "world" agenda
and anxious to see the day the
Constitution is a dead relic

I think we need to do another Blue - Gray ride, maybe to Andersonville prison camp our another battlefield.  But this time we should get stars and bars shirts made up before hand and wear them on the ride.  Purely optional of course, some Yankees may not think wearing the S&B is for them, but this goes beyond north vs. south,  this is freedom vs. political tyranny.

I think going on another Blue/Gray ride, and wearing Battleflag shirts, is a great idea, I'm in  cooldude

this is freedom vs. political tyranny.

We might disagree here. I think the people in New Orleans should be free to screw up their
town as much as they want, even if their choice saddens me. And in South Carolina, we
should be able to elect politicians who will give our Confederate relics to the KKK if
we're that stupid. Freedom = the freedom to run everything into the ground.

I put the "don't tread on me" patch on my vest in 2007 BEFORE there was a "tea party"

I put the stars and bars on my vest in 2010

now I keep a rebel flag bandanna in my pocket for "conversational" reasons

coming from the guy who was an ENNword in his own neighborhood

their  choice of language not mine

it was pretty good when I would sing along with them

I had Grandfathers on both sides.  Both flags seems appropriate, but I'd be cursed proud to wear either.

I'd go for both, but that wouldn't piss off those I'm aiming for.  Everyone knows there are no Yankee racists, only you confederate southern boys seem to have peaked their ire. uglystupid2  But both would be cool, along with the Gadsden flag.  Let's throw in a crossed black powder rifle and one of those scary assault weapons I been hearing about.

All of the New Orleans monument removals was spearheaded by New Orleans loser Mayor Mitch Landrieu he did this on his own pretty much.  The Statue of Robert E. Lee was magnificent on a large pedesatal probably a 100 feet high. Also in an area called Lee Circle that will have to be changed too by these morons.  They are coming for our southern heritage and culture but they wont stop until all history has been sanitized and whitewashed with the new version of America.  What happened to the country we are a freak show, Bruce Jenner is a hero for women but statues of Robert E. Lee a man of great moral character has to come down? What the ?  We are living in a real come to life Twilight Zone and I expect to wake up any minute and it was all a night mare.  Sorry to rant and get out of control but these people can go to hell.

My next door neighbor has the Stars and Bars flyin most every day. He asked me Before he flew it-in fact he asked ALL the people on this block and to a person we are all right with It. It IS History-you can refuse to look at I you can refuse to study it you can refuse to acknowledge it but  DO NOT Believe you should be ALOWED to tear it down or destroy it. Some body goes after my neighbors Stars and Bars they better be ready to deal with the ENTIRE block. This P C BULLSHIT that goes on day after day is/has been REALLY rankling me. We had a term in the Navy I can't use here but sounds like emulsified. RIDE SAFE.

I had never noticed Confederate Flags around here ( Greater Dayton, OH )  much, but since the brew ha ha last summer they have been coming out, and not just a few.  Good friend of mine that owns a Harley shop 2 miles away put a huge one on front of his building about 20 feet up back in October.  Other houses in area putting them on flagpoles.  Some on antennas of  bikes and trucks.  I doubt if but a few have ever lived in the south.  They are just making a statement that they do not like all the PC madness that has been flamed in this country.

I wonder what Charlie Daniels thinks.   I think I know the answer.  "Be Proud You're a Rebel Cause the South's Gonna Do it Again"
