First time in too long ! Only a 35 mile ride, but the weather is looking promising enough to ride to work tomorrow and Tuesday also (and I have a 37 mile one way trip).

Good isn't it?

Got a couple of short ones in on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons; air temp was about 45 degrees and just cruised around for about an hour under 55 MPH and enjoyed the crisp air.  Not a Harley to be seen anywhere.
Got the tires rounded out again from sitting too long; circulated through the engine, tranny, and rear end.

Now it's snowin' to beat the band and we should get about 4-6 inches by morning and through Monday.
I don't need a groundhog to tell me that we're in for more winter before spring springs.
Winter fun in the high country is big this year, whatever your persuasion (motorized or on those crazy boards).  Yeehaw! Wink

I'll take a dry road whenever I can get it in between storms.

I was very tempted today but after a few errands that ended around noon there was too much melting and run off going on. The roads were wet and quite a bit of puddling in areas like intersections. It's a shame too because it was very nice out too.

Fri - Sun, 780 miles round trip for a motorcycle related pleasure/business meeting. Rode the fast black Gold Wing, 36 degrees when left the house. Oh man a heated seat and jacket liner is nice! Left at 7:00 from NW Mississippi for Gulfport. Arrived at the Holiday Inn Gulfport for overnight and meeting Saturday morn. Mmm, yeah, seafood supper at Steve's Marina Rest. on Beach Blvd. First time there and it was good. Got the business Sat morn out of the way before lunch, killed some time for awhile then head to PBJ State Park to visit with some friends who were camping for the weekend and their 30th annual chili cook-off.
After that visit, travel on up the 15 miles to Hattiesburg for overnight stay. Supper that night with some of the camping friends at Leatha's BBQ. I have heard of the place but never made the visit. I will be back, best ribs I ever had. Sunday morning was a relaxing slow start, go back to the state park for the chili cook-off for lunch. About 250 folks there for various menus of chili and all the fixins.
Left close to 1pm for the return home, high temp on Sunday was a pleasant 75*, (no heated stuff required this day). Got home at 7pm, after dark and still it was 70 degrees.
Good ride, good friends, good food...nuttin' better than that.

On Sat, it got up to 64 where I am, so you bet I got out for a while.  Only about 35 miles, but worth it to get the bike warmed up and make sure the battery stays up.  I have a trickle charger, but have not had to use it.  The bike had set for 2-3 weeks since I last ran it and started up at the first tickle of the switch on Saturday.  I hope to be able to ride once in a while during Feb so am trying not to use the trickle.  My Shadow would never had started up that easy.  These Valks have a much better charging system than the Shadow--at least the one I have.

I rode 100 miles on Saturday . Been a great winter so far for riding . It's always nice to use all the old gas that sat for a month .
