And it will be much deserved Why would anyone do that? Must have a death wish. I like high speeds as much, (or more) as anyone, but, in heavy traffic is just insane

big brass ones and excellent skills don't make you smart.
the guy does have great balance but the part of his brain that makes good decisions is out to lunch.

Yeah, that's "Black Devil". He's been posting these videos for years. When I first heard of him, he got arrested after Russian cops watched one of his early videos.. maybe 7-8 years ago? He deserves whatever jail time he gets, and I don't condone anyone doing this crap. Especially driving in the oncoming lane to pass! Still, having said all that, he is an amazingly skilled rider with lightning fast reflexes and a quick mind to respond to all the obstacles. Watch how many times cars try to deliberately ram him. I counted at least 4. Youtube has hundreds of crazy Russian driving videos. Wouldn't want to ride there. Ever.

I didn't originally watch the video. After reading multiple comments in this thread I went back to watch. It was scary to watch. I would in no way justify the rider's behavior although I do recognize that it's difficult and often inaccurate for me to apply my values, my sense of right and wrong, to someone in a completely different culture. Having said that I think the original assumption that the rider was alcohol influenced is probably completely erroneous. I don't see any way he could have operated that bike the way he did with his senses impacted by alcohol. I don't want to ride like him, with him, or near him but he is a very skilled rider.

The crossing into oncoming traffic thing seems to be a Russian tradition.
When I was in Moscow in 1990 or taxi driver casually slipped 2 lanes into oncoming traffic like it was nothing... Scared the crap outta us but was just the way they did it there, according to some locals we talked to.

It was a Subic Bay tradition also. I think my first Jeepney ride was the most frightened I've ever been. After a few days though it was no big deal. I don't remember seeing any of them wreck.

The guys riding skills are amazing. But, you're only going to be able to ride as if it's a video game for a certain amount of time before somebody hits the reset button.

Subic HAHA!!! There was a kid on a trike, that's a 160 +- with a flimsy sidecar. He looked kinda bummed and I'd had a few. I gave $5.00 and told him to scare the hell outta me. He did a stellar job. Cool thing was, Every time I came out of the gate, he was there ready to take me where ever I wanted to go. I ended up giving him a $50 at the end of our stay. He was a cool kid. That was 1979.
