New Zealand Road Signs
«

We were vacationing in New Zealand last week. Unfortunately the trip was in a car rather than on a bike. Here are two road signs seen near Nelson on the northern part of the southern island. It would be nice if some of these signs were used in the U.S. We also saw a sign that basically said be careful for motorbikes, but we did not get a picture. I am not sure of what the "upskill" means, but I am assuming it relates to keeping current with your abilities. We saw a lot of riders on many different makes and models of bikes.

I've not been to New Zealand but it looks like it would be some great country for a bike.

The only word that comes to mind is ENVY.
Yes, New Zealand has always been on my bucket list.

I think they drive on the wrong side of the road there... I'd be
doomed...

Wouldn't be too bad on a bike. For me (In South Africa) the worst part was sitting on the wrong side of the car and shifting with my left hand... The actual driving on the wrong side wasn't too bad...

The second sign means to keep improving their skills. We have been to N/V and it is also on our return to-do list. We had a great time and like in Australia , no bike. We were in a cage with two friends and saw a lot of the South Island. Also on our return to-do is Ireland. We met Irishvalker on out trip there.
