What gets me is the media always reports that the medics always make sure that everyone knows they tried to save the perps life. WHO CARES. Probably another muslim trying to cut someone up.

Out in Arizona you don't have to have a permit to carry concealed.  If your not comfortable with weapons then don't carry.  I always have a weapon on my person.  I'm well trained and uncomfortable without one.  Wonder if the bad guys are thinking "should I carry a gun, my target probably won't have one".

The DA probably will have no basis to charge the CCW holder unless they find some other circumstance, but the Hatchet guy's family, assuming he has one will probably file a wrongful death lawsuit against the CCW guy.  I don't know what the law says in that state about such circumstances.

Local cops shot and killed an 18y/o kid that had a BB gun and no charges are pending against them.

I'd say that this guy had the potential to inflict much more harm.

The word "need" never came into consideration when I got my first CCW 44 years ago at age 21.
I have never "needed" to use but I still have it with me if the occasion arises.  Protection of person, family, friends and other victims was and still is my only consideration.

It made my M S N home page-Today. One of my favorite authors W E B Griffin-had this to say about a pistol and I hope I get it close to right-you never really need a weapon until you REALLY need a weapon. Sorta like I'd rather have It and not need It than to need it and not have it. These kind of happenings though go against what the politicians and lame stream media are trying to ram down our collective throats. Probably why some of these gun rights outfits are offering C C W insurance. Hoping the 7-11 had the video camera operating. We will have to see how this plays out. While I realize a bad guy is dead I hope they consider It a good shoot. They need to start dropping some of those low life scuz balls in Chicago and make THEIR space unsafe-the scuz balls. RIDE SAFE.
