Well been waiting from Monday to Thursday to see an orthopedic surgeon 30 miles away. This morning while filling out the paperwork I was asked how I broke my leg? When I said a motorcycle accident, they told me they could not help me, that they don't do vehicle accidents. I called my general doctor who referred me and they called around and could not find another orthopedic dr. till June! They told me I needed to go to the hospital emergency. I did and after 2.5 hours they wanted to xray me. I had the exrays already so then they wrapped my ankle and said they would referr me to a specialist. I told them I was here to have the bone set and a cast put on. They told me it would have to be an emergency otherwise I needed a specialist and they gave me a phone number. Oh and they want 1350.00. So I have called the new orthopedic guy and am supposed to go there Monday, been over a week and still have the same broken bone!!
You know I sometimes think the medical field is set up just to make money. Patients be cursed. By the time they get you in they will say it's been too long and they need to rebreak it.  uglystupid2

Firefighter,

I'm also glad you survived your mishap reasonably well. It's difficult to react sometimes in a split second.

Here's my trophy from last June.

Russ-we all KNOW you jist wanted a New Valkyrie!  Roll Eyes    And you also KNOW I try to make light of bad situations. RIDE SAFE.

It's quite ok, Dennis. I give it out so I'm ok with takin it once in a while. But I ended up with the F6B, not a new Valk. If you check the pic of Bambi, you see I imprinted her with my forks and tree. A direct hit!

Willow, no soreness in my right leg but "it" did catch me on the left shin a tad. I'm still scratching my head on how you know the latter, but I never was a farm boy!

Russ, he's referring to The Bambi in the movie.  cooldude The one you dispatched does appear to be of the female persuasion. But I was never a farm boy either, so who knows.

Mhead is correct.  The Bambi of the children's story was a buck.

The one in your picture, Wiggy, is a female.  You can tell by the way her rear legs are spread.  I'm glad you were able to get a direct impact on this one so that your own damage was minimized.   cooldude
