I always thought the kids of candidates should be off limits

They should be, but, Chelsea brought herself in.  She has been on a speaking tour of some kind in support of Hillary's candidacy.  Chelsea was the one who first stated that Hillary would extend ACA coverage to illegal immigrants.

Game on.

They never went after Obama's girls.  He didn't put them out there.  He used others people's kids.

I can remember some in the right wing "press" saying some pretty ugly stuff about them.

About Obama's girls??  I'd love to see from where.  I don't even know which is which (though I do know their names) that's how little they are spoken about in the right wing media/press that I frequent.  Only time I can recall them even mentioned is when we have a school shooting and someone says "Why can't we protect our kids like Obama's kids are protected", or something like that.   And I'm glad that they're not in the spotlight.  They seem like fine young ladies.  Must be tough hearing hateful things about your father, though.  That part of it must suck.

I am sure I could find more ,but you get the idea.

I believe that the Obama kids have been kept out of the line of fire quite well. And rightfully so.
Sure you can scour the internet and find the odd ball exception.

The two cited, one is a youtube video of some CNN guy's opinion piece with segments of Beck's program pretty well taken out of context and chopped up with Beck mimicking (and poorly) one of the Obama kids. I really don't think that Beck was making fun of Obama's kids but using them as a parody criticizing the President.

The other a story of a GOP congressional aide having a bad day. She got fired and apologized.
But in the last 8-9 years Obama has been on the big stage from his campaigning to the present day, his kids have been very much under everyone's radar. As it should  be.

As any reasonable student of history discovered, a "small system" only meant that the wicked were allowed a larger, uncontrolled playing field.

You're talking in circles.  We have a tremendous gov't right NOW in place and you're saying it's broken and full of corruption.

So which is it?  A small gov't allows bad things to happen and the wicked to prosper, or, is it a big gov't full of corruption that allows bad things to happen and even more of the wicked to prosper?

Compare that to how Sarah Palin's family was treated and ,......you get the idea.

Gary, I didn't mean to imply they are treated bad on a whole. Somebody said they never went after the Obama girls. I was just responding to that. Also I think there are many who find Glenn Beck a great journalist. That congressmans aide said they were bad girls because they rolled their eyes when their Dad told a corny joke and that they were inappropriately dressed like ho's because their dresses were too short.

Against my better judgement, I can't remain silent about the reprehensible and unfounded statements about Hillary being made in this thread.

I watched Hillary raise her child from a newborn-I was present when Chelsea was baptized. Hillary taught our Sunday School class six months of each year until the '92 campaign. I observed Hillary making and selling as many hot dogs as any other mother when our daughters were active in the neighborhood softball league. I've tried lawsuits and closed commercial transactions with her over the forty years we have been acquainted. She was a competent and ethical lawyer.

Hillary is a good mother. As good as my mother. As good as most mothers. Maybe as good as your mother.... She and Bill kept Chelsea so far under wraps during her childhood you never saw or read about her. If any journalist published anything about the child during the Gubernatorial or Presedential years, it was as if the wrath of God had descended.

This woman has been subjected to more critical scrutiny than anyone else in this country for over forty years yet we now suddenly begin to read on a daily basis of new and shocking revelations from her distant past which have apparently laid undiscovered all these years.

Speaking / writing this sort of garbage without some tenable basis to reasonably believe it's truth is out of bounds.

This is in no way offered as a political argument one way or another. It's merely a plea for decency just as I would expect each of you would ask a friend being maligned in this manner.

If anyone can base such claims on a reasonable belief of truth and accuracy that you would apply to your friends and neighbors, have at her. She's a public figure and thus, fair game.

Melissa Huckaby taught Sunday school at the Clover Road Baptist Church

John List, List was also a devout Lutheran, who taught Sunday school, and had once served in the U.S. army during World War II. (List had also been given an ROTC commission as a Second Lieutenant.)

Bernard John "Bernie" Ebbersa member of the Easthaven Baptist Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi. As a high-profile member of the congregation, regularly taught Sunday School and attended the morning worship service with his family.

Kevin Kilgallen had the characteristics many parents wanted in a teacher: clean-cut, family man, a master's degree, 10-years experience, excellent job evaluations and he even taught Sunday school.

Christopher Bryan McKenzie was a Sunday school volunteer at Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa.

Faryion Edward Wardrip a middle-aged Church of Christ Sunday attended regularly, sang hymns and taught Sunday school.

A former teacher and cheerleading coach in Alabama, Jennifer Collins McNeill had once taught Sunday school.

There are apparently a whole bunch of people that are in love with hillary clinton and her husband.  But, JoAnn and I have had to work with her at a couple  of her events. I find her a disgusting human being and I don't think much of her husband either.

Plus, I never did think Chelsea was Bill's. And, she does look like Webb Hubbel.

Pretty weird.  I looked a few of these names up, they appear to be rapists, murders and overall creeps.  Apparently the poster is trying to say their "commonality" is that they were "Christian".   uglystupid2

Obviously, they weren't.

DK alluded to in his post that hilldemon is a fine perfect upstanding woman because she was a church goer and sunday school teacher at one time. Both of which mean nothing as my post shows.
and remember the church hilldemon went to is very liberal in their ideology, completely left wing and only follow about 10% of the Word of God.

I think you are both missing it. DK who never or very seldom jumps into political threads gave you his firsthand opinion of her in regards to what the OP puked out. He made it quite clear that he wasn't defending any of her politics. Some here should be ashamed at the lack of decency they show. But alas I doubt they ever will. You can disagree and hate her but GEEZ have a little dignity for yourself.

How many positive posts about Donald Trump have you and your colleagues written recently?

You know, his reputably small hands would be ideal for working on Valkyrie carburetors and vacuum hoses.  Smiley

Seriously, though, all these ad hominem attacks on presidents and aspiring presidents do nothing to advance discussion or improve the state of your nation.  I wish politics was practised by statesmen was the rule, rather than the exception.
