Have no dog in the fight (Carolina Hurricanes are just struggling right now  ) but I have to feel that tonight at home Pittsburgh will hoist the Cup. The Pens' sticks have been pesky series long to the point that the Sharks have difficulty getting across the center line with any united front. You don't win if you can't control the puck. Loved the Sharks' fight in the game they won, but... Admittedly, not a fan of Pittsburgh and would love to see Joe Thornton hoist the Cup. But, I just don't see it happening. Now, would I accept a continuation of the series after tonight? Game Six and Seven in the lounge at Inzane? YouBetcha ! |

That rookie Murray has played extremely well and the team in front of him is supporting him with tight defense, forecheck, backcheck. Aren't allowing the Sharks much freedom in the offensive zone.
I look for Pittsburgh to win it in San Jose (close loss tonight) and either Murray or Kessel for the Conn Smythe.

Admit that I am tickled to see Phil Kessel performing as he is. He always looks wiped out sitting on the bench, but look out on his next shift!! Conn Smythe? - Wow, that's a tough call - and we're assuming the series is over tonight... Full Disclosure - As a Hurricanes fan there's a part of me that is NOT happy that Jim Rutherford may win another Cup tonight. |

Fantastic series. Great, great, goaltending. Sharks played their best game and came up just a little short.
Who gets the Conn Smythe? I vote Jones after what he pulled off tonight and in Game 5.
OH NO! Crosby had a really good playoffs, but I don't think he should be taking home the iron.
Both goalies were too instrumental in getting their teams to the big dance.

Agreed. Much as I like Crosby, he didnt deserve the Conn Smythe. Jones really deserved it, but since it usually goes to someone on the winning team, Murray should have won it.

Jones was phenomenal. But they didn't win. I don't know if San Jose got wore down, but they looked lackluster the whole series with Pittsburgh. Maybe Pittsburgh was just that much better than them.
