This is the first time I've seen Tampa Bay this year. They are good !!!
That was a waste of ice time ....... Pittsburgh will dominated!!!  maybe. But they better pick up their game. They looked pretty lethargic last night.  |

Many great players have had Lord Stanley's Silver Chalice elude their grasp (Marcel Dionne is the toughest for me to see out). Ray Bourque had to make the move (with the Bruins' fans blessings) to get his; had he stayed with the Broonz it would not have happened. Like I said earlier in this post, he may have to play out his contract and seek another team if Washington can't fill the roster to support his talent. Ya gotta have a deep, balanced team on both ends and excellent goaltending to kiss the Cup . We all know that; they who love THE GAME.  |

Many great players have had Lord Stanley's Silver Chalice elude their grasp Hope Iggy gets his last shot with a contender; Avs should trade him somewhere that may happen. He posted good numbers this year for a losing team, but he's lost that step or two at age 38. I think he thought that he could teach the young Avs winning ways, but that hasn't happened. I believe he has one (maybe two) left in the legs and needs to be with a "contendah" as a good third line winger and power play man. |

St. Louis was flatter than the ice sheet last night. Passes-poo, Power Play-poo, Coaching-poo, Unit Play-poo-poo-pa-doo.  Elliot had his first not-really good-game of the playoffs. Couple'a softies, but then some great stops...no team in front of him tonight, though. San Jose played hard on them. |

Sounds easy to say after the game is over but I called it before it started ......... WHY?  The 1st goal may have been stopped by a bigger Murray. The 2nd goal Fleury was too aggressive and the third he over committed himself and recovery was impossible. Leave Murry in and if he stinks, then play Fluery in Tampa. Now they'll go back with Murry and the pressure on him will be huge. Actually, I wouldn't want to be the coach in having to make this decision. |
