wow, that is a crap your pants heart attack scare right there.  unreal!  First off an oncoming vehicle crosses the center line coming at you which has happened to me last year or so ago was 1/2 way into my lane each of us doing 60 mph heading right for me got over on white line on right side of my lane, then a car from behind comes from behind nearly ramming you.  Bad day to be riding!

I had about 7 years ago a lady in a parking lot ram her car right beside me doing about 10 mph into a concrete light pole scaring the crap outta me parked right beside it ready to get on my cycle.  She said bees were in her car  and she lost control of what she was doing swatting at them.  Luckily I was one parking stall over from the concrete pole or I would have been crushed into the concrete pole support.

Right now,  I think ALL cell phone use should be banned while car is in motion and that should be a national law and cell phones should have that technology for sure.  I see way too many close calls and idiots near DAILY with a cell phone glued to their ear or looking down texting while driving makes me very scared to be on the road nowadays.

Why did the other bike and car stop...some mentioned on the facebook page that it was for a funreal, but there is nowhere that I can think of that traffic is supposed to stop.
If the bike in front and the blue car stopped for that, then they should be ticketed and the asshat in the pickup should be taken off the road

doesnt matter why they stopped, weather it be for a frog crossing the road a funeral or a person laying in the road, the at fault driver was the one in the truck,,period and if i were the guy on the bike i would have had a few words to say to him...

Looking at the video this is what looks like what happened.

I believe this was a funeral procession. Probably cremation as there was no hearse seen.
The guy at the beginning that crossed the center line was likely trying to push the oncoming traffic to pull over because, it's a funeral. I'm an RC for the PGR and I HATE IT when people do that. Just complicates things for no reason.

The car that "stopped" in the lane (the one that got hit) "stopped" (the car was slllooowwlly moving) because they didn't want to thread the needle with the motorcycle pulled off to the right side in front of them and on coming traffic on the left.

The guy in the pick up should have been charged to the maximum of the law. There was clearly a traffic issue long before the impact. He just blew right through all of it and never considered anyone or the situation at hand.

In the south east it's a common courtesy to pull over when a funeral procession approaches. Normally one know it is because all the vehicles will have their headlights on.

Almost everywhere, it is common courtesy to slow down and stop before ramming into the vehicle ahead of you, without even touching your brakes... while texting (or other distracted driver foolishness).

I'm a law and order, due process fellow, but if this crap keeps up, a little old testament instant justice may be called for.

Hey, he looked like that when we pulled him out of his car and laid him on the side of the road.

It's respect  cooldude

One of the things that was new to me when moving south 30 yrs ago. That and the "blue law" on beer. Still remember the lady at the register freaking out saying you CAN'T buy that. I thought she just wanted to "card me"  Cheesy

Here there are Police escorts for funeral processions, that stop traffic at all intersections so the funeral may pass. I have even seen them pull a car over for not stopping even going the other direction. I was raised this way and pull over no matter how big of a hurry or where I got to be til this day. Simple RESPECT is what it is called.

What do you want to bet the driver of the truck was too busy texting to bother driving?
