OK,
I admit I might have a small problem with paint finish products. My quest for the ultimate shine has led me to amass quite an impressive array of products on my garage shelf over the years. Due to the disappointingly poor paint on my black 2014 Honda F6B I tried everything I could to make that black bike look good and try to protect the ridiculously soft paint. My 01 Interstate looked better when I sold it then my F6B did a month after I owned it.

Despite my declaration that I would never own another black bike I fell in love with the blacked out anniversary Gold Wing that was red metal flake and black. I had one shot at this paint when it was brand new and wanted to put my best efforts into protecting it properly. I did lots of research and read about this product called Glare that supposedly created a "shell" on the paint that would protect it from scratches and have a deep shine. Upon further review I found that Honda actually had their own label of the glare product line.

It is a bit of a pain to put on the first coat. One must do small areas and work it into the paint until it disappears. The second coat "seals" it and it goes on more like a regular wax job. I must say that so far I am impressed. The red metal flake glitters in the sun and the black looks really good and is about as scratch free as black can be. I might be done searching.  cooldude

Good to hear you like the Glare wax, my Honda dealer give a bottle to me last fall. I used it on my wheels but not on the paint of my black F6B. I was using Wizard Shine Master wax, great shine but the scratches would still show, but would go away after waxing.
I called Glare Wax up a few weeks ago and $100+ later they sent me a 4 bottles of different waxes. They claim it will last 5 years. He said it will bond to the paint. I haven't put it on yet. I'm waiting for a nice day when I'm not riding.
As far as the Honda Glare you have they told me that is there old formal. Which I sure is still great.
Here is there site with a long but good video. With a rainy week ahead I will try and put the 4 coats on.

Bar none, the Honda Glare is the best wax (it's not really wax) I've ever used.  cooldude

Spendy, and my last few trips to the dealer (I rarely go there) they didn't have any more.

I only did the first step, little tiny circles rub-out treatment, once on each bike.... and yes it is a mistake to do the whole bike like that, better to do a smaller section at a time, or you will be polishing it off until your arm/hand falls off.

Doesn't liquid glass make a shell on the paint? I bought some while back and have not used it yet.

It is suppose to.  I got some liquied glass last year.  Put a couple of coats on.  Put two more coats on early in the month. It does not take long to do a coat on my tourer, maybe 10 minutes.  I like it a lot.  I will be real interested in the long term results of that honda glare.

My take on Liquid Glass. I had a heads up on how bad the paint was on the new Hondas before I even got my F6b. So when I got the bike, I started building up coats immediately. I probably have 10 coats on my bike. While it does go on very easily and comes off without any real effort(even in the sun), it in no way builds up ANY kind of protective shell. My bike still cleans up real well and looks good, but it does have the minute scratches and swirl marks. I hope this new product you speak of does the job!

My experience with Liquid Glass was the same as yours.

so,  how much about is a bottle of  honda glare?

Will it remove or help remove so barely noticeable scratches that are not too bad?

At my dealer it was around $20. I have seen it cheaper on Amazon but aftetr you add shipping your at about the same place. It appears to me it fills in the small scratches quite well.

good to know,  will order from Amazon.com once I get around 50 bucks in stuff (easy to do) to not pay shipping.

I really need to put something on my black I/S to keep the dust off at least.  Gee whiz, only out from under the winter's cover 2 weeks now and a layer of dust already all over my black I/S.

I think HOnda makes a spray detailer cleaner that is suppose to help prevent dust from accumulating as quickly?

I'm still using ReJeX, been using for a long time. In fact, I told Hot Glue (Mark) about it at Bellaire and he started using it. It was developed for aircraft finishes and is safe on plastics.

It is not a wax.  It's a polymer that must cure overnight.  It last a season, beads up, and is slicker than snot. It costs about 12 bucks for 12 ounces, enough for three cars.  Easy on, easyoff and lasts!

Here's a pic of it on my 2002 Miata, the crystal blue metallic paint really came to life after a clay bar and one coat of  ReJeX.

I ain't gonna sell anyone , what with all the expensive stuff out there but just thought I'd mention it.

Will I spent the day waxing my bike and I think it looks outstanding. The black actually looks blacker most of the scratches are gone you really have to look hard to see any scratchs. Time will tell if they stay away. I will post some picture later.

There seems to be a consensus around the internet that these glare products are the real deal.

When I bought my first State back in 01, I was fanatical about wanting her to shine.
I mean she was black n chrome and looked totally awesome anyway, but still
I would wash her and then break out the carnuba car wax, and take hours
and hours to shine every nook and crannie...we all know what a bear that Interstate
it to clean n shine.

After a few years and the "newness" slowly wore off, I started getting tired of
taking literally two day to clean n wax my bike, so I started trying a myriad of
different "wash n wax" products, but none of them really impressed me.
Then I tried Armor All Ultra Shine Wash and Wax. I was very impressed, and
had wished I had discovered it earlier so I wouldnt have all those "swirls" that
show up so easily on black paint, and the chrome literraly gleams.  I also got many compliments on how my baby
shined, my favorite was when I was walking out of a WaWa and some guy walking
in tells me how beautiful my bike is, and how did I get it to shine like that ?

It may sound crazy, but thats what I use exclusively to this day on all my vehicles.
I just got a "new to me" Interstate, a 99 that that is in showroom condition and the
paint is flawless with no swirls, and Ultra Shine is all I ever intend to use on her.  cooldude

. ....and of course. ...Q Tips..  coolsmiley
